What renewed 1st year show that you missed will you try to re-visit this summer?

As my question states,

There were quite a few rookie shows from this past season that did really well in the ratings and got renewed for a 2nd season.

Some of you probably tried a few episodes and got impatient early on and bailed. Or maybe you just didn't have the time to watch it, but felt like you missed out on something really cool. Or you fell massively behind and felt like you couldn't catch up.

Better yet, you probably don't have the channel (Showtime, HBO etc)

Multiple choices are allowed in the Poll.

Re: What renewed 1st year show that you missed will you try to re-visit this summer?

I heard good things about Revenge. I'll do my best to catch up this summer.

Of the shows that aren't getting renewed, I think I'm going to watch Awake. I'm just waiting to see if the finale satisfies the series first.

Edit: forgot about Grimm. That's on the short list too, didn't get a chance to pick it in the poll.

Grimm sounds like the type of show I'd love, but I never caught it. Will likely eventually check it out.

New Girl is one that I'm planning on checking out over the summer. Grimm and Once Upon A Time also interest me.

I disliked Grimm and loved Once Upon a Time at the start of the season, but that has completely reversed by the finales of both. Grimm is quite frankly an AMAZING show compared to how it started. You also get the benefit of not having HUGE hiatuses they both suffered during the regular first run (which really hurt both shows IMHO). Enjoy!

Unwatched on the DVR:
Hell on Wheels

Definitely grabbing the BD when it hits:
Homeland

Really? You disliked OUAT towards the end? What makes you say that? The finale set up a potentially very interesting 2nd season.

I'd watch Revenge if they re-aired it, but I know they won't. Nothing else that I haven't already watched is of interest to me.

I am going to watch Boss S1 if that counts.

Do networks even show summer reruns anymore? It's mostly cheap reality crap.

Homeland, Watched the first 4-5 episodes, Got sidetracked but was okay a little because they were all on-demand. Then it fell off demand :\

Glad we are getting Grimm a month earlier, but this also means there will be longer gaps during the normal season. Oh well!

I may tune in to Suburgatory if they re-air it. I won't go out of my way though.

Serials no (not enough weeks in summer and get poor ratings), but procedurals will get re-airs. Sitcoms will also get re-airs.

Chances are, most here will have to catch the serials on DVD/Amazon Instant Video or Hulu.

Re: What renewed 1st year show that you missed will you try to re-visit this summer?

For the most part I actually kept up with: 2 Broke Girls, Don't Trust the B, New girl, Suburgatory, UP All Night, Revenge, and Girls; but along the way I dropped the ball on "Homeland," "Once Upon a Time" and "Grimm" - so I hope the blu releases are out a couple weeks before the season premiers...

Girls.

I liked everything I saw from it. I just kept forgetting to set a series recording for it.

Grimm, Once Upon a Time and Persons of Interest.

I actually had most of the season, of Persons of Interest, in my DVR but really needed the space.

FYI,

Person of Interest re-airs start tonight. However, tonight is episode 12. If you don't mind watching a random episode with no explanation of any of the backstory, knock yourself out.

There is no release date yet for the DVD/BD. Most likely the soonest it will come out will be around August.

I might retry Person of Interest which I initially dropped after ep. 8. Everyone seems to really like it and insist it got much better.

I have no interest in the other shows I dropped.

It's been consistently the same. If you didn't like those 8 I wouldn't waste your time.

Once Upon a Time for me...I disliked the pilot and never watched it again, but now that I know it's coming back, I'll give it a second chance.

May I HIGHLY recommend Homeland for those that missed it...it's not only the best new show on this list, it's arguably the best show on TV.
