"The Thing" (2011) already OOP?

I have "The Thing" (2011) on my price tracker on bluray.com and just noticed it now shows it being "n/a". When I click on the title, it says it's only for sale by a third party vendors only. What's going on?

I searched for this not only here but elsewhere online and found nothing about it.

I was looking into buying it last week and for some reason Amazon has that message up about it having an issue with the item at hand. The DVD was still for sale, so I'm pretty sure it's not OOP.

I'm sure that is due to the idiots at blu-ray.com sending copies back because of a bent corner on their precious slipcover.

The best thing about The Thing is that you can get a $15 amazon video credit if you don't choose to use the ultraviolet code.

This stuff usually happens when the item changes from a Combo Pack (BD + DVD + DC) to a single disc release.

Amazon starts shipping out the single disc version. Customers complain that they ordered the Combo Pack. Amazon pulls the item while they look into the complaints and change the listing.

Universal's new releases are usually combo pack only for quite awhile. WB will offer up BD only releases, and Sony does as well.

Re: "The Thing" (2011) already OOP?

The only other thing I remember is that it gave me the option where you also have the option to get an itunes code. I haven't noticed it on any other movies I have, so maybe it's a new thing.

Yeah, beat me to it. I ran to Bestbuy.com to snap that deal up (if it was the prequel). Damn it!

Then why'd you even post?

Been waiting for a good deal on the 2011 version.

People actually do this? I mean, if you want the slip in great condition, go to a B&M store and choose one for yourself.

Especially when the title of the thread was clearly The Thing (2011) not the The Thing (1982)
