Synopsis:

Spoiler:
When a crystal is magically stolen from the abandoned house, the Circle decides it was the traitor witch working with Eben (guest star Sammi Rotibi) so Jake (Chris Zylka) calls for a meeting with Isaac (guest star JR Bourne) to see if they can get him to change sides. Cassie's (Britt Robertson) loose grasp on her dark magic threatens to destroy any possible alliance when their pursuit of the traitor leads them to the "Creepiest Place on Earth." Meanwhile, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jake (Chris Zylka) work together to steal Dawn's (Natasha Henstridge) crystal, Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) and Adam (Thomas Dekker) pair up and uncover a new magic trick. Meanwhile, a frustrated Diana (Shelley Hennig) reaches out to Charles (Gale Harold) for help. Eagle Egilsson directed the episode written by Roger Grant & Katie Wech (#120).

I just had a thought. If the girls on The Secret Circle were the cast of Girls on HBO instead, I'm sure opinions of that show would be drastically different.

I'm still watching, but it's still pretty boring (same for TVD). I hope both get renewed though but only if they improve things.

I dropped the show last week. This show has a pretty cast and not much else going for it. The scripting is awful and the stories felt halfbaked most of the time.

Yeah, it's gotten pretty tedious lately. I've held on this long, but I'm about ready to bail myself. Witch hunters this, crystal skull that... I just don't give a damn.

The ending was definitely surprising. Though you saw it spelled out bout five minutes before it happened when the photo was found.

I take it that also happened in the books?

And as usual, too much of an attempt to make Charles a sympathetic character and someone you actually want to root for which I find impossible with him killing Cassie's mother.

I think I have, but in my mind I am still thinking of finishing the final episodes since I stuck with it for so long (like I did for Ringer). I'm feeling a big 'blah' though. I typically watch this after it airs (like I do with the majority of shows I watch), but I was flipping channels last week and saw the final scene where we find out who the second child is. I thought - why am I watching this?

The show was very good in the fall, but this spring session along with the numerous breaks have really killed its momentum.

You know, I would be fine if most dramatic shows I watch on network tv went down to 13 episodes a season and aired straight through and came back nine months later. The trade off to having to wait nine months is having tight storylines.

Okay, now that we've had some people vent and say the show sucks is boring, blah blah blah, I'll talk about the episode itself.

Agree with everything you said, the ending was indeed a WTF moment. Now Nick is alive?

I also don't like that they are making Charles sympathetic. The bastard murdered Cassie's mother in cold blood in the Pilot.

I'm not going to be some cheesy fan boy and say how wonderful this show is with rainbows and sprinkles on top, because it isn't. IMO, the witchcraft stuff is getting a little hokey. I don't know what they have planned for Blackwell at the end, but he really hasn't been a compelling villain or character.

The show is pretty to look at and they have some decent character moments between the circle. Unlike The Vampire Diaries, I don't think they have developed a really compelling and focused arc for this show. There's only 2 episodes left and I've made it this far, so I'll finish out the season and see what happens.

I will say this that Phoebe Tonkin (Faye) is probably the most interesting character amongst the girls.

For me it was their inconsistent handling of Blackwell as villain that was the final straw. It didn't help the actor they cast for him is not very charismatic in the role.

That's another frustration of mine. I thought the series started with real potential. Hot cast, witchcraft, interesting backstory that could be developed into a pretty decent mythology. The parts of a better, more focused show are in there somewhere. I feel I should have some investment in these characters by now, but I just don't.
