wow! So many people were shouting and growling at me today. Jessica was BAD tonight and she brought her alter ego ... what a diva who doesn't even have a recording deal. Joshua is the same old same old church screecher. Nigel was on twitter asking for themes ... please no more classic soul for these people to absolutely butcher.

I am glad that I am not the only one who does not like Jessica. She is a good singer, but I don't like the types of songs she is picking or the way she sings them.

I really do not like the judges. They really need Simon back, or like people have said before, at least put Jimmy in... ANYONE who can give an honest opinion, good or bad. I would rather NOT have another singer who is only there to make their own albums sell better.

Crazy that Hollie was probably the best of the night. Ellise will probably go home, but I'd like to see the bottom three be Colton, Jessica, and Joshua.

I think Hollie has a good chance of going home. My fiancee doesn't watch the show and happened to see her sing and thought she was boring.

Also voted for Colton. Tired of him.

Think Colton has the thinnest of voices left and did not enjoy his performances last night at all.

This is the strongest top 7 I have seen in a long time on AI. I dont think anyway is mediocre, they are all very talented. To me, it just comes down to performances and style.

Phillip is a natural, true to himself, and has not got lost in the makeover glitter crap that most succumb to. He feels his music through his soul and I think things just happen on stage that he doesnt choreograph.
Skyler and Elise are those kind of performers to me also.

Jessica's voice is amazing, no doubt about it, but that doesnt always win this show. She is not my style, I would never follow her after this show. Same with Joshua.

Hollie is to choreographed to me, she needs to grow.

We all can be imprecise in our commentary, but I can't think of any objective criteria in which Jessica and Joshua are mediocre singers. Young? Sure. Singing style/genre you don't prefer? OK. But mediocre singers? In fact, I don't think any of them are mediocre singers. Even Hollie can blow. She does nothing for me, but she can sing. And while we're at it, "Losing" AI does not mean you're not a good singer either.

Loved Phillip last night. Thought he was the most consistent out of everyone.

Skylar is riding high with alot of confidance and you can see it in her performances. She's actually growing on me. Would not be surprised at all if the final 2 was Phillip and Skylar.

I hate to say it, but I think Elise will be in the bottom yet again and will probably be going home. I just don't think her voice resonates with the voters of his show.

Phillip still hasn't learned how to sing and growls through everything, totally out of tune with a very very minimal range. Go to a few coffee houses and listen to the local 'talent'. They all sound like this guy and probably do it much better. It overwhelmingly helps this guy's cause to have a good band behind him every night.

I agree. She has an amazing voice but how do you market HER as a person? Not many can identify with her. I could totally see her doing the singing voice for a Disney animated movie, though.

He didn't say they were mediocre singers. He said they were mediocre, which they most definitely have been. This has never been a show about who the best singers are.

They've had mediocre performances constantly, wasting the potential of their great voices. MikahC made a very specific complaint that people were doubting their singing ability and I don't see it in this thread.

I just hope the finale ends up being Phillip vs. Skylar. They have been my favorites since the top 24 were announced.

I've been thinking it will be those two for a while. I guess I could see Phillip losing steam. I think Skylar is already going to sell a lot more albums than any of the others no matter who wins.
