Diff'rent Strokes - advocated kids to run away from home!! [A new study]
It seems that Willis and Arnold Jackson always were packing their bags for running away from home. This was the executive producer's idea for having American kids leave home to live their lives in alleys and homeless shelters - all for a few bucks and a few grand laughs at parent's expense.
Of course, this practice isn't new. The Our Gang kids - aka The Little Rascals - did this very thing back in the 30's.

Hmm, maybe the abandonment of young male african american tv characters will be a panel discussion at the next Fresh Prince of Bell-Air convention.
