Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Nick hurts his back while playing touch football, but he doesn't have health insurance, so Jess brings him to her doctor friend, an OB/GYN. Later, Nick reevaluates his life after learning the seemingly innocuous injury may be more serious than initially thought.

Did everyone forget to watch?

I really liked the episode, the hijenks were less, but you can definitely feel the care/love that these characters have for each other.

They are definitely setting up the Nick/Jess relationship, I hope they hold off till season 2.

Seemed like this one was out of order? No hint of the Schmidt/CC relationship.

That said, this was one of my favorite ones yet. Schmidt in the lady tights was the highlight.

It did feel out of order..it still looked like that flirting/pre-sex stage of their relationship.

And we meet Jess' lesbian Gyno for the second time (Although it looks like the first time, since the last time the character looked chummy.)

That's right, I was confused last time because they acted like we should have known who the character was last time.

Someone said in one of the last threads that they ran them out of order, her OBGYN friend episode. I do not know why Fox always runs their shows out of order.

But even then, there was a line in this episode from the doctor about how it was nice to see Nick again. Maybe the writers just don't know how to introduce characters. I would imagine this was the earlier ep, but who knows at this point?

I don't get this either. Especially where there are developing storylines. Is there really some Fox exec thinking America will love this episode on 3/06 but not on 2/21?

I didn't really like this episode. Too slow, a little depressing and not enough jokes.

The lesbian chick made me think this was out of order as well.

Loved the singing/rap session with the whole gang. Winston is really funny when they give him some material.

A little more drama/fewer laughs this episode, but I enjoyed it.

I am glad CeCe is consistently part of every ep now.

I have really been enjoying the show for the past five or six weeks.

Around Christmas they kept showing the football clip in commercials for all new shows returning January whatever. I assume it was meant to air sometime around then and for whatever reason they just moved it.

And she's smoking hot in person.

Caught this ep. a day early during the New Girl panel at Paleyfest in Beverly Hills on Monday night. Really cool to enjoy the show with a few hundred other fans, and then to see the cast in person. No surprise that the actors are just like the characters they portray on the show.

Oh, and did I mention that Hannah Simone is absurdly good looking in person?

Apparently. This episode was probably supposed to happen BEFORE Nick and Julia started dating because there was no real mention of her at all. Also the 2/21 episode deals with the end of their relationship and Cece and Schmidt keeping kibosh on exposing theirs so this episode would have been odd airing last week after the Valentine's Day episode. That Cece and Schmidt fall asleep as they did here on the shore of Lake Michigan is a pre-cursor to them ending up in bed together on Valentine's Day.

FOX is the only network that shuffles episodes like this (AFAIK), and it never works out for the better.

I liked his socks/shoes matching his shirt.

Thought this one was weak. Has Fox ever given any reasoning for airing episodes out of order? I don't get the point.

Yeah, I thought about that, too. I could swear it was a shot of all three when the line was spoken, but I could be wrong. Either way, it's awkward.

My guess, and this is only a guess, it's because they're fucking idiots.

I thought Fox stopped airing things out of order after all the shit involving Undeclared, Futurama, Firefly. Surprising that in 2012 this is still happening.

Didn't know about that one....I'm out of the loop on a lot of shows these days, but that may be a reason it got canceled I'm guessing.
