Being Human -- "The Ties That Blind" -- 2/27/12
By djariya at 2012-01-05
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Episode 7 of 13
The Being Human threads have been a little quiet this season, but I'm assuming that most here are just behind. I'm 2 weeks behind, but hopefully I will get caught up tonight.

Wow, awesome episode tonight! The scenes with all four wolves were great--especially when they all first started changing. Loved how for Josh and Nora it looked painful, but for the purebreds it was routine.
Also liked how Aidan... took care of things.
I really admire how they wrap these storylines together: Aidan and Suren and the whole Hageman situation, and Josh and Nora and the purebreds. While Sally's story has been divergent from theirs, that aspect was played up at the end when the boys come home after their night in the woods and she's been gearing up to talk to them and realizes they have other big things on their minds beside her problems.

^^^ Agree, great episode tonight. Got caught up with the last 3 episodes including this one.
The scene where Nora and Josh was changing along with the twins was intense.
RIP Cecelia. That whole sequence with the wolves chasing Aidan was pretty pulse pounding.
I felt really bad for Josh now that Nora has chosen to fully embrace the animal instincts of being a wolf.
at Aidan using the shotgun to kill the brother.

I absolutely love this show! Even better than last season. I was hoping that Danny's ghost would've stuck around a little longer, but I'm not terribly disappointed.
Whenever I tell others about this show, it sounds like I'm setting up a bad joke: "A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost live in a house together..." but that dynamic is what's so great about this show IMO. Their personal bond is much stronger than their destinies as monsters who should be at odds with each other.

One of the better episodes so far this season. I miss Sally hanging out with the ghost boys though and learning from them; I wonder if they'll bring that back.
Overall, I don't feel this season has been on par with last season, but most shows go through a "sophomore slump" so we'll see what happens.

How did the twins not realize that if they didn't kill Adian (that night) he would likely come back and kill them? Did they think he would just give them a pass?

There is no way they could have known unless they re-visited the scene. When they turn into Wolves, I believe they lose all of their human consciousness.

That's only true for Josh who has yet to accept himself as a wolf. Even his girlfriend remembers more than him. The true bloods remember everything. The brother was just talking about the hunt before Aidan killed him.

This season has definitely turned out better than the first season. Though it looks like they are taking Nora's character in a very dark direction, I wonder if she hangs around or they kill her off soon.

Yeah, it seems to me they are either setting Nora up to be killed off, or to leave town with the other she-wolf for parts unknown.
