The Amazing Race 20 -- Season Premiere -- "Tears of a Clown" -- 2/19/12

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
"Tears of a Clown" (Santa Barbara, Argentina) - As 11 Teams depart Santa Barbara, Calif. for Santa Barbara, Argentina, one team struggles to keep their nerves at bay. Meanwhile, Teams quickly discover winning $1 million may be tougher than expected when they find themselves skydiving from a plane at 10,000 feet, on the 20th season premiere of THE AMAZING RACE, Sunday, Feb. 19 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Phil Keoghan is host.

Ready for another season?

I get a kick out of the threads for this show. Seems like the last 4-5 seasons, there are always a few here on this board who are never happy with the winners and call it a lame or boring season.

Didn't even know it was starting back up. I'm starting to get bored with it myself.

Prepare to pad. PGA going to a 3-man playoff and likely overrun.

This is the only reality/game show I've consistently watched every season of. While I may not be a fan of every team that's won it's always a fun ride.

Heh, just now saw this was on when checking the program guide. They definitely need something to make this show exciting again, just not sure what it is.

Oh well, I'll still watch, of course.

Fuck it, I'm out. Was looking forward to this but I am not playing chase-the-start-time all season again with this. Especially now that it cuts into much better shows if it runs over.

You can always watch this on CBS.com tomorrow if you don't mind watching it on your computer.

I'll put up with it but Jesus Christ it's annoying. Sundays are packed for me and this shit throws everything off. I thought I was safe with no NFL.

Tonight, I'm taping:

Simpsons (only because 500th show)
Walking Dead
Amazing Race
Luck
Shameless
Talking Dead
Comic Book Men
Life's Too Short
Talking Dead
Eastbound & Down

Wow!!!!

After one episode, the blonde Rachel was more annoying than the red one.

Disappointed the girls went out, but they were probably the worst during the entire first leg.

Spoiler:
"The Amazing Race is supposed to be fun and good."

Blonde Rachel has a HUGE forehead. The super blonde hair and blends in with her skin and having it all back do not help the situation either.

Hilarious that the M&M girls did not see all the people and the giant black camera boom in the open when they were yards away at the pool.

I figured with the amount of time in the previews that the Guidos had, they would have been eliminated.

I guess I'm rooting for Team Kentucky but I can see them having trouble. "Badonkadonk"

Given how ultra-competitive Brendon and Rachel are I think they'll be good at this. Plus, while he has some personality flaws and some delusions, he's still pretty smart. Smart athletic teams usually do well.

Now watch them get eliminated next week.

Yeah, Rachel is annoying but this show is perfect for her since she's such a competition freak.

Hurt losing that eye candy since there's not much left.

Hope those guidos aren't over the top douchey.

at the douchebag guido named Joey "Fitness" Those guys are already my least favorite team.

at how stupid Misa and Maiya were at the end. How could they miss seeing Phil? I was screaming at the TV when I saw them pass him. Too bad, they were definitely the hottest contestants this season.

I kind of liked Art and AJ. Mark and Bopper were pretty funny hicks. at Mark puking outside the car in the beginning.

It will be interesting to see how they do, since TAR is one long competition. With Big Brother, they had three competitions a week, and the rest of the time Rachel spent crying, pouting, or throwing tantrums. TAR won't give them much time for that.

Also, Rachel was a better competitor when Bookie... I mean Brendon, was out of the BB House. When she played with him, they had this weird codependent thing going on, but when he left, she got tougher.

Well, I guess there can be Asian bimbos.

As for padding requirements, this should be the last Sunday you have to deal with it until the Rd of 32 of March Madness (3/18). Then you'll have to pad for the Regional Finals (3/25) and The Masters (4/8). Those are all certain runovers.

What was up with her constantly giving the rock n roll devil horns hand sign last night? Sheesh. Annoying is right.

This looks like it could be a pretty good season though. But it's sad to see the cuties go.
