Will be knocking out a ton of spaghetti westerns if all goes well. Along with some other stuff from various boxsets

Caligula may have added some people to the safe lists, but I think you can safely assume no one was subtracted from last year's lists.

I'm thinking I'll revisit some movies that I haven't seen in a while this time around. Looking at my shelves, I see a bunch of DVDs I've only watched once that I'd like to watch again. I'll maybe shoot for about 80% FTVs.

I've seen people on here mentioning Full Moon sets. Does that mean the Puppet Master movies count? I have the Puppet Master colelction from Full Moon.

They definitely count. We're talking movies that would never get an Oscar: low-budget horror, martial arts, crime films, biker films, sexploitation flicks, movies with "Hercules" in the title, movies that you would have seen at a drive-in, or at a theater on 42nd St. back when New York was really nasty.

Can't wait! Between all the BCI Drive-In sets, Mill Creek sets, Andy Sidaris and Russ Meyer collections, Midnite Movies, Pinky Violence ...you name it, many of which remain unopened, well, I'm set.

Yeah, rules and safe lists will be the same. If anyone has any new ideas they are welcome to mention them. The first few posts will be updated soon.

I'm starting with Peplum since I picked up that MC "Warriors" 50 film set at WM last year while purchasing a couple of horror ones. I've been holding it for this!

Planning to buy a couple old Gamera movies and one of the Mill Creek sets for this challenge when I get paid in March. Maybe go for one of the sci fi sets.

Just ordered the one of the MC Monster Movie packs from Amazon and got to thinking while I was going through my DVD collection and making my list of movies for the drive in challenge. Is it just me or do a lot of horror movies seem to be eligible for this challenge? I know a lot of my horror movies fall under the critical bomb safe list.

Just realized while looking through my DVDs to make my list of what to watch for this challenge that this would be the perfect chance for me to rewatch my Pendulum Collection, wouldn't it? A 2 disc set of definitely low budget horror. Haven't watched them since I got them in fact.

I probably don't make enough use of the critical-bomb category, but I do still have Jonah Hex sitting on my shelf

No, it's not just you. Based on my collection, *lots* of horror titles qualify. I'd hazard that 75% of what I watched for the 2011 Horror Challenge would qualify for this one. Even higher profile horror films tended to show at drive in theaters in this part of the world (Mid-South).

If you're going to count a film just because it played at a drive-in somewhere, you'll be able to include most anything. Lots of big-time studio films played second runs in drive-ins. I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) in a drive-in.

i know im guilty on relying on horror in the past 2 challenges bc my collection steer toward that. last year i ordered a bunch of stuff but didnt receive it until after the challenge so gonna try and focus on more genres that i normally dont touch besides always a good reason to watch some russ myers

I have a bunch of Code Red titles coming in the mail, since I've seen they have some distribution issues. I figure I'll do some of those at night along with Mill Creek stuff.

"Drive-in" is more the vibe. If you see a current movie at a Drive-in, that counts, though.

There's tons of cruddy Horror that qualifies, but I prefer to keep to the stuff that doesn't fit in the Horror Challenge, like Kung Fu and Blaxploitation.

Re: Third Annual Drive-In/Exploitation/B-Movie Challenge March 31-April 30 2012

Just finished making my list for the drive in/B movie challenge. Got over 100 titles lined up, including 20 from a 20 movie pack of monster movies from one of the Mill Creek sets that just arrived in the mail yesterday. Made my list and put it through random.org. Looks like I'll be starting with The Wasp Woman. Anyone else have any idea what they will be starting with yet?

Actually, think I will start with The Ape, as IMDB qualifies it as an Action film as well, so I can get double credit on the Action/Adventure/Crime Challenge.

Thought I'd post this now before it slips my mind... one of those legal torrents courtesy of the studio that made it:

Download link.

What happens when the white man brings their smack into Soda's hood? Find out by checking out the free download link at DWN Productions for our feature "Race War The Remake". The links are in the news feed. Its a blaxploitation comedy filled with all the good shit (Blood, gore, violence, nudity, and profanity). If you decide to check it out please leave us a comment on the website of what you though of it. Much appreciated!

Just finished watching Star Trek Generations for the first time for the Time Travel Challenge and Action/Adventure Challenge and got to thinking, would that qualify for this challenge under bad sequel to a great franchise?
