Re: Fringe -- "Making Angels" -- 2/03/12
Good episode, but I don't feel like we're making any progress getting Peter back to the Blue Universe. The case of the week was interesting and I liked that they made some tie-ins to previous episodes like Peter arriving at that lake. We did make a little plot progress at the end with the 2 Observers going inside Neal's room and finding that device.
The thing that stood out to me in this episode was the meeting between the 2 Astrids. Some really awkward, yet strangely poignant scenes between them.
That final scene was interesting. I'm guessing Astrid made up that story about her father to help comfort her counterpart. It was obvious that she was a close and loving relationship with her father.

Anyone else think the Observers will get Peter home despite him not supposed to be existing anymore? I'd imagine him mucking up another universe is worse than returning him back to the original timeline.

Another great episode. I love this show!
I really love alternate Olivia, let's just say that I think she would be really open to try a lot of things in bed.

I get the vibe the writers are laying the groundwork for Peter to permanently remain stuck in this new alternate reality. Or that Peter finds the original universe he is from is gone for good.

I thought for sure we were going to see Neal come back at the end as an Observer.
I'm thinking the original universe is gone as well. I think there was a reason they showed that bleak future in the original universe, I think it was broken beyond repair.

Walter constantly getting Astrid's name wrong (Aspirin, Asterisk) cracks me up! It was even funnier that he didn't get Alt-Astrid's name wrong! Lol!

Good episode. Fringe is a lot better show when Peter around and interacting with Walter.
I was really surprised to see alt-astrid leave. They telegraphed a possible ending. She seems more at home in A' universe.

Finally saw this one and it was great to give Jasika Nicole a chance to shine a bit. She also tackled the "making the two characters different" challenge that everyone else has had to do very well. Her interaction with herself was incredibly sweet. I also like that the "normal" Astrid didn't get jealous or anything silly like that of the "alt" Astrid, even though she was schooling her in the research department. She seemed almost proud and that was a subtle thing to pull off.
