Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Catherine Dent ("The Shield") Returns as FBI Agent Susan Darcy Who Questions Jane about Panzer's Death

Samaire Armstrong ("Dirty Sexy Money") Returns as Summer, Cho's Informant

"Always Bet on Red" - Jane and the CBI must narrow down the long list of suspects after a high-end divorce attorney with many enemies is killed on his speed boat. Meanwhile, Jane is questioned about whether Red John was responsible for Panzer's murder, on THE MENTALIST, Thursday, Jan. 12 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.


Episode 11 of 22-24 (no final episode count yet)

I didnt like the reason Jane gave for not disclosing that Red John was alive.

As much as I like the series I think the writer's realized they painted themselves into a corner regarding Red John's "power". It seems like they are backing off it. No mention has been made this season regarding the influencial and powerful people who seem to work for him.

No number was given. Perhaps the FBI guy and the fellow Jane shot last season were all he had. There, I just rationalized it for you.

I hoped we had seen the last of Red John - the cast and the stories are strong enough without him and the tedious ever-growing plot around him.

Although the scene after Patrick shot the supposed Red John was pretty cool.

It was, and would have been an awsome ending to the Red John storyline.
