Several interesting developments. I kind of expected what happened to Santana seeing as we'd already had the best possible outcome with Kurt and Burt. The upcoming mid-season cliffhanger may all of a sudden pack some real bite with all these stories slowly coming to a boil.

This review pretty much says it all: http://www.avclub.com/articles/i-kissed-a-girl,65644/
Pretty bad episode and songs weren't even that good.

The scene with Santana's abuela would have been a lot more poignant if they'd bothered to introduce that character earlier...even just an episode or two would have helped.
The relationship between Puck and Elphaba should seem creepy...but it doesn't come off that way at all because the actor playing Puck doesn't resemble a teen in the slightest.

I haven't been watching this season and from what I have seen, made the right decision. Every week I read how the backslide is continuing with no end in sight. I believe Fox needs to cut its losses and end the show with this season. Then they can do a Kurt or Rachel spin-off if desired, though I hear Lea Michele wants to get back to broadway in real life more than anything else.

FYI, last night's episode had 7.90 million viewers, which makes the S3 Fall average 7.94 million (7 episodes so far). Last year, the S2 Fall average was 11.61 million (10 episodes), so Glee has so far dropped 3.67 million viewers, or about 32 percent, since last fall.

Personally I thought this was one of the better episodes with some of the better music. I actually found myself rewinding the some of the segments (the P!nk number and "I Kissed a Girl") for the first time this season. Although the show is definitely part of the Ryan Murphy curse: a great premise that never truly achieves awesomeness because he ignore every single for of character development and plotting.

so now everyone is going to sing, ala cop rock, regardless of ability.
Biest doing "Jolene" made my anus bleed more than drinking tequila does.
Hello random racial stereotype Hispanic of closed mindedness, sorry you can't stay longer than five minutes, i guess you must be off to dance around a sombrero and stone some gays. Ariba!

They must have, because I missed that too. Because the way I saw it, Santana said she [went home and] told her parents, and they were surprisingly OK with it. Then she went to visit her grandmother, and that's who told her to get out and never come back. I didn't see anything about her living with Brittany.

Howie, the demo numbers have dropped as well. the S2 Fall episodes averaged around a 4.5 in the 18-49 demo, while the S3 Fall episodes so far are averaging around a 3.2 -- a drop of about 29 percent, which roughly corresponds to the drop in total viewers.
And the music sales are starting to slow down a bit. For example, last year's Christmas album (released on 11/9/2010) debuted in the Top 10 with sales of 161,000. While this year's Christmas album (released on 11/15/2011) also debuted in the Top 10, its sales were only about 73,000.
However, even though the demo number and sales have decreased somewhat, I'm sure the show is still profitable (just not as profitable as it was last year).

Wow, I didn't even know there was another Christmas album released.
Huh, and is there a Jackson tribute episode coming up? I notice that 3 of the songs from the next Glee album will be from Michael/Janet.

So, with this being on Rachel's permanent record, is it safe to say that neither she or Kurt are going to NYADA?
This season seems headed towards a pretty dark end for all these kids.

on the lesbian storyline, i would have preferred to see them have brittany's parents be disapproving, saying "we are fine with our daughter being a slut, but god forbid she is bi or a lesbian. we raised her better than that"
maybe explore some of the hypocrisy of homophobia, with people who gave kurt shit being very "two chicks going at it, yeah!".
i was hoping for more from glee, if they want to be a message show.

Ropes Pierre, I only just noticed your delightfully nasty comment about Bieste's version of "Jolene," and I must sadly agree with you, as she sings it very poorly. Dolly Parton's original version is great, and I have a version from a few years ago from British singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor that is wonderful, but this version made me cringe.
