Oh, shit. Dexter murdered that redneck shitbag at the motel, took a pen from it, and now Deb found the pen.

The bit with her in the psychiatrist's office, with where she was talking about Travis and his sister was great.

I still need to see Gellar interact with someone else (or even anyone else to just see him) to believe it.

Since I can't find anything about it, I'm guessing there's no such thing as the "Elliot search engine" Then again, I'm so 5 minutes ago, just like Dexter. Techie people make me want to punch them in the face when they use an expression like that. Though I can do without this subplot (the intern and Batista's sister) unless it ends in bloodshed.

No, I think not. When Dexter when to get him on that balcony he broke through the floor and dead ended at a really high window. No, Gellar is as dead as Trinity.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I'm not sure that Dexter thinks he went out that window to escape. Was there another car outside when Dexter pulled up?

My immediate thought during this scene was that Dexter was going to find Gellar's mummified corpse in the choir loft (a la Psycho in the basement), but I suppose that a reveal like that wouldn't occur until the last episode or two. After this episode, I'm also under the impression that Gellar isn't real. Methinks that Travis saw Deb at his sister's house and his anger toward her assumed betrayal led to Gellar taking over. Dexter even says something about her staged kill being "all Gellar", which makes me think that "Travis" will continue to fade and "Gellar" will grow stronger. Also, I found it odd that Gellar magically appeared at the most appropriate times, although the show does have a track record of such things.

I've actually missed a few episodes this season, yet I feel caught up and probably won't take the time to watch them. Why is nearly every scene without Dexter so excruciatingly bad (the side "plots" mainly)? Batista has devolved into a one-note hypocritical jerk that makes me hope that he meets the same fate as Morales from OZ. After everything immoral or illegal that he has been involved with, he really has the nerve to claim the intern isn't good enough for his sister? Damn I miss Doakes. I'm honestly not minding Deb so much, but they really need to stop it with the closeups of her cringing or crying because it really isn't doing JC any favors in my opinion!

I agree...at this point I really don't think Gellar is alive .

Ha! I knew it. Gellar being a split personality of Travis' would be too predictable for the writers

I agree it is very predictable but unfortunately it seems to be heading that way.

Or, the writers have us thinking he is - and just when you keep thinking that way, all of the sudden you find out he's real...

I think they're gonna kill Deb off. I figure she probably wanted out of the show because she has to regularly work with her ex-husband and they probably lured her back for one more season.

Re: Dexter -- "Sin of Omission" -- 11/20/11

It's hard for me to believe a professional actress on a good show would want to leave her job prematurely due to an ended relationship. I also haven't seen any reports of hard feelings between the two. And let's face it, the odds are high her role on Dexter will be the role of her career. If she has even an ounce of the character she plays in her, she'd think, "F**k that... You f***ing leave."

Re: Dexter -- "Sin of Omission" -- 11/20/11

I really started to think that we would get some type of confirmation either way about whether Gellar is real or not. This episode had me thinking more and more that he was real, but then it just stopped short of confirming that for me. It's just too convenient that Dexter wasn't able to actually see Gellar.

It looks like next week is going to start really amping things up.

Somehow, I don't think she would have very much luck asking the person who plays the title character to leave.

Only if an overweight 64-year-old man can squeeze through a tiny window, survive a fall from 20 feet up, then get away without a trace before Dexter can see him.

Yep, because Dexter is 100% realistic.

Geller is most definitely not real. He would've attacked Dexter if he was real and he didn't because he was chained to the ground. Travis was punishing himself for killing his sister, chaining himself up like the Wolfman.

Re: Dexter -- "Sin of Omission" -- 11/20/11

Poor Molly Parker.

Yeah After this episode, I'm in the boat where Gellar probably is a split personality of Travis. Although knocking himself out cold and then chaining himself up is a little odd, yet feasible.

It also seems to me that Dexter and Deb's relationship is growing increasingly strained, especially with all the lies (about Nebraksa) It wouldn't surprise me that becomes a key component to the last few episodes of this season and then going into season 7.

And Quinn is an obnoxious drunk. I wish Vince would have let the bouncer kick his ass.

I also think that Deb is going to die this season. There are a lot of reasons, some already mentioned here, but for me it's either she dies or knows the truth about Dexter.

With 2 seasons left I can't see getting killed off just yet. She's a big part of the overall story and she'll be tough to replace.

If anything Deb's relationship with Dexter will be alot more strained and I think she will become alot more suspicious of him and his disappearing acts. I can see that playing a big part of next season.
