Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

Sale is from Friday, Nov 18 - Monday, Nov 21. It's a mix and match sale. You can mix/match any DVD, Blu-Ray, or Game for 3 for $20 or 5 for $30 ($14.99 or less). I'm not sure what the sale is for DVD's, Blu-Ray's or Games $9.99 or less.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

i think it's just that one sale.. 14.99 or less, the 9.99 titles fall under the same sale... that's what i gathered from the BB employee that i talked to yesterday. she wasn't quite sure though haha.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

The ad linked to above says the sale starts on the 19th. Can anyone confirm that it's kicking off today?

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

I went to Blockbuster today and got the sale. The Manager said it started today. You should call the Blockbuster near you to see if they started it today.

The Open House link says it's on the weekend only. If anyone knows if it will be still be going on Monday (even though there may not be much good stuff left in the games dept.), please post because there's a Blockbuster on my way to work and I could easily stop by on Monday. Doing it this weekend is difficult.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

not even that good of a deal 3 for 20 used. The new sounds like a better deal by a long shot.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

actually, I thought this was one of their better sales. Complete TV seasons for $5, and Blu-rays for $5 (6 for $30). Lowest I have ever seen them. Usually, BBV sells discs of TV season individually.

I have too many unwatched to buy these, but was impressed with the selection.

P.s. My BBV was very clear that the sale ends TONIGHT!

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

Yeah, I think the new deal was better. Especially since you get the retail and not the rental version of the discs. Made trips to two different stores and got:

Toy Story Special Edition BD, Toy Story 2 Special Edition BD, and Alice in Wonderland (cartoon) BD.

The Notebook Special Crap-Loaded Edition BD, Avatar 3-disc BD, and Red Special Edition BD.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

I think the original poster is wrong saying the sale lasts through Monday (today) and that the link was right saying it ended Sunday. Sadly I didn't make it to Blockbuster over the weekend, but before they closed last night I called the only remaining store on my commute path to work and he said the sale ended Sunday. Oh well. If anyone finds out that's wrong, please post. Otherwise, I guess I missed this one. Who knows what I would've found. Some people got some good stuff, but I don't think anything earth shattering like that 99c used BD deal on Memorial Day where I really cleaned up and it was totally worth a special trip.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

At one of the (few) remaining local BB's I went in at lunch just in case ... and they were still doing the five for $30 deal on TV seasons. I lmited myself or I could have gone really crazy. Still, I bought two seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm (6&7), Diary of a Call Girl Season 2, Bored to Death Season 1 and Heroes Season 1. I could have got Heroes 2&3, Nurse Jacky, multiple Rome,Tudors Seasons, Sopranos, 24, the Office, Bones, etc etc. so do not assume that the sale is officially over and there is no chance of still getting these deals.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

I went to Blockbuster today and the sale was suppose to end tonight (Monday night), but the Manager told me that it is being extended. He didn't know when it will end, so he's still doing it until he gets the e-mail from the home office telling him the sale is over.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

I went to a BB on Friday, asked which sales they had, and they didn't say anything about TV sets (they hardly had any anyway). Was the 5 for $30 deal supposed to be at every store?

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the dates for this sale, so I thought I'd clear it up. The "Open House" was only this weekend. These new sale prices will last until the end of the year.

Re: Blockbuster 4-Day Sale

The TV boxsets are supposed to be exempt from the bundle sales, but the computer still discounts them so YMMV. If an employee says they can not be sold in a bundle, they are doing what they have been told, so don't give them a hard time.
