How many movies can you name that have the opening credits against a HIT SONG?
01: The Graduate ("Sound of Silence")
02: Fast Times At Ridgemont High ("We Got The Beat")
03: Coming Home ("Out of Time")
04: Back To The Future ("Power of Love")
05: Footloose ("Footloose")

any others?...

Are you asking for hit songs that were used for opening credits or songs written for a specific film that became hits after the film's release?

04 and 05 fall into the latter category.

Either, or. Hit songs that were already hits, or songs that later became hits. Or songs that became hits due to the movie, like Back To The Future.

Any song that plays over the opening credits that is, was, or became a hit single.

The Power of Love does not play over the credits in BttF. The credits end as Marty plugs into the amplifier (I believe), and the Huey Lewis song doesn't kick in until he leaves Doc's house.

Most of the Bond films. A good many of the songs were huge hits.

Cuz..technically..in the timeframe of movie release...Footloose wouldn't be it, I'd assume.
