It was only a matter of time before they put McGarrett in an MMA fight. "To the finish", no less.

Loved seeing Dascasos doing some action tonight.
But nowadays when he shows up anywhere I'm either reciting "Allez Cuisine!" in my head or the song "Para No We" (or whatever its called) from Only the Strong.

Loved finally seeing Mark Dacascos use his martial arts skills finally. Joe White actually held his own against Wo Fat.
The opening segment with McGarrett at the MMA fight against Chuck Liddell turned out to be just a lame throw away segment for the end. I do have to give Alex O'Loughlin credit, he's in excellent physical condition.
Some good guest stars in this episode. Shawn Hatosy from Southland, Annie Wersching from 24 and of course O'Quinn and Dacascos.
Okay....Now here's my complaint. Why the hell did they fly in Daniela Ruah from NCIS Los Angeles to act in a 2 minute segment to read lips in that security video? They could have easily sent that video to LA. I like Kensi Blye and that was a serious waste of her talent for that. So it appears that NCIS and H50 are in the same universe. Don't be surprised to see another crossover in the near future.

Damn, I really thought Joe White was going to bite it. Great fight scene.
Loved the scene with the couple at the restaurant talking about the burglars breaking in tying and beating him up in front of his family...
5-0 - "by chance do you keep your house key on the same key chain as your car key?"
Victim - "yes, why do you ask?"

No Fat finally does something, kicking Locke's ass. Yet I wonder why he had no henchmen with him.
I'm amazed they didn't have Rambo beat Chuck Liddell.

They're in Hawaii and can't get Annie Wersching in a bikini?
Five-0 needs more Five-0 type cases.. instead of just taking over routine police investigations. Makes HPD seem like they only handle jaywalkers and speeders.
to more local establishment name dropping.

Did the original show feature this many typical cases? I wonder if the team should only get the hard ones, or if elite cops (are there such a thing) get put on traffic duty when nothing else is going on?

LOL yeah, the fact that 5-0 takes on just about any case is hilarious this season. I don't mind it because I think it's better than last season where they had to find a way to make EVERY case fill with international intrigue to warrant their involvement. But it is pretty funny.
Glad to see Kono back. And here's hoping Michelle from 24 sticks around.

Annie Wersching should have auditioned for Lauren German's role (the blonde 5-0 agent)

There isn't a way to win, is there? Either Chinese agents and Japanese gangsters are making a move every week, or Five-O is investigating murders, kidnappings and drug dealers. I agree that it is better to have believable stories than challenges suitable for a group of super-cops.
