WB Shop TV Show Sale

http://www.wbshop.com/on/demandware....L4&src=ETVEML4

Some stuff

Moonlight $8.90
Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.: The Complete Series $12
Tales of the Crypt Seasons 1- 7 $7.50 each
Thorn Birds $8.90
The Flash $10
Lois and Clark Seasons 1 - 4 $12 per season. I have seen Season 1 as low as $5 in a local store.
Superboy Season 1 $7.50
North and South $16

Please be aware that some sets like Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.: The Complete Series as of the time I am writing this will have a higher price when you put them in your cart.
You will need to call WB for a price adjustment or you can just call and place order by phone

Re: WB Shop TV Show Sale

This was previously posted a few weeks ago, when the deal was MUCH better. There were $300 box sets for $12-$16. Like the Complete E.R., Waltons, Full House, etc. Same sale, but they removed all of the Complete Series bargains.

Re: WB Shop TV Show Sale

In for three seasons of Tales. Used a $5 off coupon to reduce the cost to $20 shipped. It ain't the "MUCH" better price, which I'm still kicking myself for missing, but it'll have to do!

Yes but per that post many of the orders were canceled due to the fact it was a pricing error. People got 25% off coupons instead. These are actual prices.

These prices would be a lot better if I had one of those 25% off coupons! Unfortunately, I didn't get in on the price mistake deal, so I have no coupon. But if anyone has one to spare, I'll gladly take it!

The original list I posted when this new sale started had around 35. I know they added Superman seasons and The Flash too Also, I no longer can get the 25% off coupon to work with these prices.

I was kicking myself for not ordering "Brisco County" the last time, so I was quite pleased to see it back again at $12. Of course, I was equally frustrated that it lept coming up $70 in my cart. Thanks for the tip about ordering by phone, -I got the sale price and it went quite smoothly (the rep said she'd gotten a lot of orders for that particular item), though I had to remind her that shipping for this sale was only $2.50.

Is this coupon available to everyone? I can only find a $5 off $50 code.

Wish I had waited to use my 25% off code. I could have saved about $4 on what I ordered last week.

Re: WB Shop TV Show Sale

Just got an email with more stuff on sale.
http://www.wbshop.com/on/demandware....L4&src=ETVEML4

Complete series
Man from Uncle 100.00
Friends 100.00
Gilligan's Island 30.00
Wonder Woman 30.00
Kung Fu 30.00
West Wing 100.00
Gilmore Girls 100.00
Full House (7 individual seasons) -- 70.00
Nip/Tuck -- 70.00
O.C. -- 70.00

You might get some decent deals with the 25% off coupon, but otherwise lukewarm. W/O the 25% coupon, I'd probably wait for BF.

The WHOLE series of Gilligan's Island for 30 bucks, that seems like a steal.

Right. Just a few lucky people reported getting theirs shipped. I ordered all of those series for $12 each + shipping and all got canceled. I still have a 25% off coupon which I'm saving on the small chance I find something to buy. If not, I'll post it on the last day in one of the WB Shop threads. (I assume anyone can use the unique codes rather than just the person it was emailed to?)

While these prices may be decent, I just can't get excited even over $10 season box sets of TV shows because I simply have very little free time (I shouldn't even check or post on DVD Talk but it's a habit that's had to break) and my backlog of stuff to watch is so huge. It was much easier to get excited over $3 and $6 Warner season sets at Big Lots years ago... most of which remain unopened and unwatched (due to evil work).

By the time you add shipping + tax, you're about at $33.99 which is how much Amazon had it back in December 2009. With the 25% off coupon, then it becomes a good deal. The reason I don't buy it is that I thought Gilligan's Island was just OK (I sometimes watched it as a kid), but even paying $22.50 + shipping + tax for the whole series is probably a waste because I own about 50 other TV series I'd rather watch first... even Wonder Woman complete series (S1-S3) which I got for $6 at Big Lots would be much higher on my priority list (Lynda Carter vs. Dawn Wells... no contest). Just because something is a good deal doesn't mean I should buy it. It has to be a great deal for me to buy something I don't really want. :-)

(I didn't really LOL). But I concur. I have sets of stuff I've never heard of or don't know if they are really any good, just because they were 2.50 or 3.00 at Big Lots (Beautiful People, Comedy TV Funhouse). The way stuff is going to clearance, Gilliagan's Island would need to be 20 bucks shipped for me to consider it right now. The sad part is, I really expect it to -- 6 bucks for a season is not that uncommon a deal anymore.

Re: WB Shop TV Show Sale

Am once more in agreement with you guys. I can't justify buying something for no other reason than it's being cheap. It's no longer a deal when you buy something you are never going to use.

Gilligan is ringing up at 84 dollars when I check out. I wonder if they will fix it.

As no one replied to my previous post, I guess that means the $5 coupon is only a WB Insider offer? Was waiting to hear confirmation before placing an order.

Re: WB Shop TV Show Sale

They email 5 off 25 coupons sometimes if you leave items in your cart. I haven't received any in a long time. I think that is the coupons they are referring to.

Re: WB Shop TV Show Sale

Thanks, g.

Been meaning to pick up The Flash series for a while now. I think $12.50 shipped is about as low as I've seen it for. I'm upset that I already used my 25% off coupon, but you can't predict the future. WBShop was selling it for more than $40 last week and I didn't want to risk any other sets (which were better deals) going up in price by waiting.
