Was this supposed to be about Julian Assange or Rupert Murdoch?

This episode didn't really do it for me. Had a few moments, but it really felt like they had run out of ideas.

Guess I'm in the minority. Outside of the shot of the teachers literally throwing Carman under a bus and Mr. Mackey literally shatting accross the floor I didn't find much humor in this one.

This season should be nicknamed the "Shit Season" due to all the storylines that revolve around poop, We had the Human CentiPad, the duck president spitting out shit all over the place (in 2 episodes), and now Mackey. Am I missing any?

I thought this was classic SP. I died laughing when the fish said "Ass to trout. I mean, Bass to mouth... although it's pretty much the same thing."

Very funny episode. My favorite part was the faculty trying to get Cartman to agree to lay off the kid who shit himself.
What has it been, 8 or 9 years since the Lemmiwinks episode? I love the bizarre continuity.
Of course, it wouldn't have been the same without the Glenn Yarbrough style singing.

One thing I gotta hand to the South Park guys over all the other modern adult-cartoon shows - they have the best songs.
I never laugh at a Family Guy song, but I am always tickled by a South Park song.

That's the most I've giggled during a South Park episode in a while. I love when they embrace absurdity. Catatafish was killing me. And the Lemmiwinks vs. Wikileaks song. Great stuff.

The stuff with Cartman and the teachers was good, but not the rest. If there was social commentary to be found in the Wikileaks character/plot then I missed it.

Does the fact that I know the Glenn Yarbrough and songs were a parody of the 1978 TV version of The Hobbit by Rankin/Bass make me a major nerd?

This is one of those episodes that really shows you what a twisted, truly reprehensible character Cartman is. The kid knows right from wrong, but doesn't see it as "right" and "wrong". It's more of a "profit" and "non-profit" choice. So he chooses wrong to get the most out of the situation for himself, and honestly doesn't understand why his friends and the adults can't see his way of thinking. In Cartman's eyes, the kid who crapped his pants had total torment coming to him, like it's in the natural order of things...something that can't be controlled, like a ball falling to the ground when you drop it...it has to happen.
Personally, I love it when Matt & Trey put Cartman in a situation where you really do think he's going to do something good for a change...and he bites the viewer in the ass every time. I honestly didn't know what he was doing with the little girl and the cupcakes, but then when I saw he was just trying to give her the shits to distract from the other kid having the shits, instead of simply leaving the first kid alone...classic. It's why Eric Cartman remains to this day one of my favorite TV characters. It boggles the mind how he can be the way he is, but at least he's consistent and steadfast in his ideals. South Park will always be a family show...if your family name is O'Doyle.

Classic episode for sure! Loved seeing the return of Lemmiwinks and the animal spirits . I love when the show is just so ridiculous and over the top like this episode .
