Since FOX fucking moved X Factor to tonight and it's 2 hrs, plus Walking Dead is 90 minutes, I now have a DVR conflicts on both airings for Homeland tonight. Luckily this show re-airs multiple times, so I will catch Mondays re-air.

Outside of Strike Back, this is my 2nd favorite new show. It's slow, but the suspense is really well done.

And go figure both of them are premium cable shows. I wish Strike Back would get more love in this forum, but I know very few here subscribe to Cinemax if that. Homeland has been solid so far.

Just found out this show is/was filmed here in Charlotte, NC.
I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for some landmarks.

Ah, the blonde was the head cheerleader on Freaks and Geeks. I wish she'd have lasted a little longer.

I'm really liking this, making this 5 shows in one night (one of which we don't watch until we have time later in the week) end on a high but tiring note.

Re: Homeland -- "Clean Skin" -- 10/16/11

I wonder if the Prince's right hand man actually did find out that she was a spy. Or if it was nothing more than him needing cash to fund a terrorist cell and she was walking around with a half a million dollars around her neck.

I got excited during the opening scene because for a second or two I thought that was Claire Daines who was nekkid.

I know there's one scene that was filmed in my lil' town of Belmont. That was just a month ago, so it must be towards the end of the series. I'm looking forward to it, too! (story here)

Yes we are.

Another great edge of your seat episode. This is my favorite new drama this season by far.

So who was watching Brody when they went to protect the asset? Or who was following him when went for the walk with his daughter?

It seems like watching someone full time is more than a three person job.

I would think so! Does Carrie ever sleep? I think the coolest part of this show is that we don't really know for sure if Brody has been turned, other than obviously having converted to Islam.

I think they did a good job of showing that they can't have eyes on Brody 24/7 while still showing how obsessed Carrie is with it. Personally I like that every time he goes dark we don't cut to Carrie flipping out about it.

And beating his fellow marine to death, and lying about never having seen that terrorist whatshisname.

Yes, but it could also be because he really wanted to survive. Not saying I don't think that he's the bad guy, just that it wouldn't be shocking if he's not some terrorist in league with Al-Quaeda.

Re: Homeland -- "Clean Skin" -- 10/16/11

In the other thread I said that I thought the big conclusion would be finding out that Brody sympathized with his captors but wasn't exactly turned. The Stockholm Syndrome would explain his convert to Islam and why he didn't give up that one guy to the CIA.

Whatever the conclusion is I hope they don't leave any holes. Meaning I hope they fully explain why he beat a fellow marine to death (although the answer to that is probably the obvious one) and why he was twitching his fingers like he did in front of the cameras.

Yeah, definitely 3-for-3. Gripping episode this week. I should have seen the necklace as the device to be used for the transfer. d'oh!

Another good one. It's crazy because if I hadn't seen all the great reviews for this show before the pilot I probably would not have watched.

Never really cared for Claire Danes, but I'm enjoying her in this.

What is this "competing" with for best new drama of the season? That is, what other new drama seems to be getting not only critical praise but seems to be well liked by most everyone that watches it?

I don't watch as much TV as I used to, but this, by far, the best new addition to my schedule of shows and, pretty much, everything else new that I've tried is already "gone" including, sadly, the comedy with Zooey Deschanel.

Definitely 3 for 3 so far. Gripping episode with some cool reveals.

The ending with the Prince's aide being behind Lynne's murder was very surprising. I have to assume he's working with Abu Nazir.

I'm assuming the money he received was used the fund the purchase of that house with the Middle Eastern Man and White Woman? Could those 2 be sleeper cells for Nazir?

at Brody jerking off in front of a topless and frustrated Jessica.

Depending on how this show finishes up, I think this could be a strong contender for a 2012 Emmy Award for Best Drama.

As far as network TV goes for additional acclaimed shows, it's slim pickings. I think Revenge is the best new network drama this season.

1)Yep.
2)Yep.

For a minute, we thought that the necklace had a listening device in it and the Prince heard her conversation w/ Carrie.

The dude buying a house at the end also played a terrorist on Sleeper Cell (although, uh, he didn't have a wife in that). Guess there isn't that wide of a variety of roles for actors of Middle-Eastern descent.

After 3 episodes, this is definitely my favorite new show of the year.

The New Girl is just postponed until Nov 1 while the World Series is on. Unless, you've seen something I haven't?

First Brody basically rapes Jessica when he returns home and now he makes her sit there while he whacks off. Crazy.
