Synopsis:

Spoiler:
In an effort to fight the inequality of Ron's (Nick Offerman's) boys-only wilderness group, Leslie (Amy Poehler) takes her girls-only troop, the Pawnee Goddesses, on an adventure weekend. Meanwhile, Tom (Aziz Ansari) and Donna (Retta) force Ben (Adam Scott) to join them for a day of relaxation, and Chris (Rob Lowe) finds a reason to spend time with Jerry (Jim O'Heir). Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, and Aubrey Plaza also star.

Re: Parks and Recreation -- "Pawnee Rangers" -- 10/13/11

Absolutely LOVED this episode. Parks And Recreation continues to be my favorite show on television; filed to the brim with laughs, genuinely likeable characters, and a lot of heart.

---

Tom: "It's the one day of the year I allow myself to be selfish."
Jerry: "Ooh cupcakes."
Tom: "Those are for me Jerry!"

Loved Chris's initial reaction to Jerry's daughter.

Tom: "I'm going to talk to you about things you like to take your mind off of the needles. Accounting...trigonometry...stamps, probably."

I really like the direction they're taking Ben and integrating him into the group. It was nice to see Donna and Tom be there for him and include them as a friend.

The intensity with which Andy recited the Goddess oath killed me.

Ann: "But it feels great to have a bunch of little boys be super into me."

Ron: "Before we proceed, do any of you have any dietary restrictions?"
*Group Collectively Shakes Their Heads*
Ron: "Correct, you do not."

The look on Jerry's face when Chris told him that his daughter slept over was hilarious.

That and the look on Donna and Tom's faces when Ben walked out in the costume.

Awesome episode, yet again.

"What is wrong with you today? Did they cancel Game of Thrones?"

at Ben in the Batman costume.

Nice to see Donna and Jerry get some good screentime.

Great stuff. I liked Donna doing the "Tom Smile" when Ben came out in the Batman costume. I also liked that he wore it for the rest of the episode.

I don't know. I just wasn't feeling this one. Maybe it's because Andy didn't say a word for like 20 minutes of the episode. Ben in the Batman costume was awesome, though.

The Batman costume was great to begin with but when he started crying was when I had to pause for laughter.

I think they're forcing Ben's "nerd-ness" a little too hard, and it doesn't feel as natural as the other characters' eccentricities.

Watching Batman cry was hilarious.

But I do somewhat agree with this. I didn't really buy that the Batman costume would be the one thing that would he would want to splurge on. The writers do seem to force the nerdy/geeky thing on him and it always gives me an "oh yeah, he's supposed to be that guy" reaction. But in the case of this episode, it was worth it just to see Batman cry.

I loved this episode. I liked the part where Leslie and Ann got annoyed with the little girls liking April's arm drawing. I also loved the Donna, Tom and Ben splurging scenes.

When Batman started crying it was too much. I had to pause the show to recover.

Yeah I agree. Something is off about it. Last season he was the straight guy who worked well off the weirdness of everyone else (like a Jim Halpert). This season it seems they don't really know what to do with him since he's not with Leslie anymore so they're pairing him with Tom and Tom is making a bunch of nerd jokes out of nowhere.

I don't mean to make it seem like it's a bad thing. The Tom/Ben stuff has been hilarious this season.

I don't know what was sadder, Crying Batman or Ann being left out and having her own solo pillow fight.

No wait, Crying Batman was definitely sadder. I think I'll be Crying Batman for Halloween.

I also thought that was unlikely and was even more surprised that he was conformable wearing the costume out of the store. I buy that he has geek interests but wearing a Batman costume is a whole different level of nerd.

The show is so good though that I don't really mind stuff like that, not to mention it set up some great jokes.
