Charles Napier R.I.P.

Always liked him from Russ Meyer to The Blues Brothers and Silence of the Lambs.

Re: Charles Napier R.I.P.

Aw damn it; one of the great character actors who did get pigeon-holed into Southern roles.

I wonder why he stopped doing the voice-work of Sheriff in Squidbillies.

RIP.

Sad, although he deserved to be cockpunched for being in the shittiest Star Trek episode ever created.

It was his first guest role, which we earned by jumping on a table and singing "House of the Rising Sun". Sounds like a cool gig, even if the role wasn't great.

I imagine he felt the need to have a better stamp on Star Trek; he later appeared on Deep Space Nine, this time as a military commander and not some damn hippy.

"Well, suppose we ain't got no union cards and go in there and start playin' anyway? Whatcha gonna do about that? You gonna stop us, Stein? Ha. You're gonna look pretty funny tryin' to eat corn on the cob with no fuckin' teeth!"

RIP Tucker McElroy. I really enjoyed your tough guy roles in many of my favorite films and tv shows.

Same here. Damn, he'll be missed. RIP Also have fond memories of him as Duke in The Critic. Just checked out IMDb and am reminded of how impressive his career was.

Re: Charles Napier R.I.P.

Too bad. One of those character actors that most moviegoers have seen in a dozen different movies but probably never knew his name.

Re: Charles Napier R.I.P.

Loved this dude. Great character actor who was always perfect as the heavy. I'll remember him best from Rambo II and Silence of the Lambs.
