Re: Glee -- "Asian F" -- 10/04/11

Damn, the first 15 minutes of this is already better than all of Season 2 combined. Is this when the new writers started or something?

Love all the callbacks to Season One, too (Tina's stutering, The Figgins scare, etc.)

I missed last week since this is no longer on my season pass list but so far this is making me want to add it back again.

Michael getting some screen time, a Brittney number, really liking it thus far.

Damn, the reviews were right. Probably the best Glee ep, well, ever.

If the show stays on this track it'll be worth watching again.

I liked this episode except for the Mercedes vs. Rachel thing. Brittany's dance number was great. The ginger supremacists were funny and sad at the same time. I hope we see them again.

Re: Glee -- "Asian F" -- 10/04/11

Bits and pieces of greatness but the editing seems to be done by someone with severe A.D.D. on a sugar high. You can't begin to feel anything because BOOM we're somewhere else. The part with Asian F's mom should have made me cry but BOOM Britney's ass BOOM Beiste stuffing her face BOOM Mercedes being a jerk BOOM OCD crap BOOM Mercedes does an incredible number. And the whole time I'm wondering why Quinn is suddenly over her lame phase and no one says anything?
The Dreamgirls song was so great. I just love that show. Was it the great material or performances that made it? Cuz the Diva Off that was "gonna be talked about for years" had way less drama. And why was everyone else called by their character's name but Mercedes was called Effie?
Rachel's pink dress was awesome. Wants it.
Next time I'm gonna watch while I drink a 52 oz. Coke, eat a bag of cookies and jump and scream and run around the room. I have a plan...Go Glee! Yea! Whoo!

Maybe you're having a hard time following the show because of this "OCD editing" thing you seem to have a huge problem with, but they addressed that in last week's episode and then re-addressed it in the preview for next week's.

I'm wondering why they bothered bringing Santana back into glee club so quickly, as it appears she'll be jumping ship with Mercedes in the next episode anyway.

Um, she had a squinty face moment that foreshadowed some more lameness with the baby. That was addressing it? And where are all the catty comments by her classmates? It's still high school where nothing is left unspoken behind your back.

I agree, the Quinn story has been very poorly handled.

Seeing the kids get excited over the cast list was an emotional moment for me.

The Mercedes vs. Rachel thing was lame last season and is still lame.

Maybe so we wouldn't miss the point? I'm just glad they didn't go into And I Am Telling You... because she's already done that.

I agree that the Wicked diva-off had more power.

Good for Mike Chang to do that number, though the simplication of the melody annoyed me.

Would like to see more Fame. Dogs in the Yard was always a favorite.

She SAID that she's going to sabotage Shelby to get her baby back, and in next week's preview she's clearly begun that plan by putting hot sauce in the bottle. Are yoiu being willfully ignorant or did you actually miss these scenes?

And catty comments by her classmates? WTF are you talking about? Why would we need to see those, even IF they're being said?

Is that what you would slow down the "OCD editing" to show? If so, I'm glad as hell you have no pull on this show.

I would venture to say in last year's Britney Spears episode, but this is a very close second to me. Girl can dance and she's very easy on the eyes.

Outside of the Mercedes vs. Rachel, and the super rehashed "I'm quitting glee" storyline with Mercedes, this was an excellent episode. I was about to dump Glee, but maybe not.

Uhh they addressed it last week. She is basically playing the part of being a good girl so she can get her daughter back

Re: Glee -- "Asian F" -- 10/04/11

Definitely the best episode of the past two seasons. While season two had moments of greatness, they were severly outweighed by the hours of boringness. But this season each episode has succeeded the past episode by removing the bad taste left behind by the season 2 - and the show has evolved into something really compelling.

The show is no longer a comedy by far, but if the writers can keep this level of quality season 3 could beat season 1.
