Death Curse of Tartu/Sting of Death - $5.73
Ma Barker's Killer Brood/Gangbusters - $7.63
Lost, Lonely and Vicious/Jacktown - $7.52
Ice Cream Man/Jack Frost 2/Killer Tongue - $4.89
Hellraiser blu-ray - $9.19
Sci-Fi Invasion (50 Movies) - $12.79

I originally came just to get Never Sleep Again but then thought I'd browse the sale to see what's up.

I ordered Saturday night and all but Sci-Fi Invasion and Hellraiser 2 were just shipped this morning.

I swore off of DVDs, but $9.99 each for the Tales from the Crypt seasons is tempting, at least for the Challenge. I haven't seen the series since I was a kid, do the episodes still hold up?

The Crypt seasons are $10.13 at Planet, but they seem to have discontinued coupon codes, unless anyone knows of one.

I have watched them recently and I think they still hold up. The last season is awful. Filming and production was moved to England. It had up and coming actors like Ewan McGregor and Daniel Craig but they didn't help save this season.

Seems like there is some discussions on where to get Tales from the Crypt. I am not ashamed to admit that the Crept Keeper gave me nightmares as a child. I want the seasons DVD. Where should I get it from for the best price?

Note that Walmart was selling this and other Mill Creek 50 packs for $10 all summer. I haven't been there lately so don't know if they are still available.

For those looking for Tales From the Crypt, check Target. They have a couple of two packs with seasons 1/2 and 3/4 for $19.99, I think. I could be wrong.

They sold for less during Target sales. I think I bought the 2 packs for either 16.99 or 17.99. Having said that, if I want more than one season, 9.98 from Deepdiscount is fine by me considering there's no shipping and no tax. They do have the 2 packs also: 1&2 pack is 20.09 and the 3&4 pack is 19.94. You save a couple of pennies buying the 3&4 pack but the 1&2 are cheaper individually.

No tax on this website? I saw the free shipping. Might just pony up and buy all of them. That is very interesting now...

Re: Deep Discount Halloween Sale - Now with prices that beat Amazon

As I noted above, a coupon from Planet for $5 off of $60 or something similar would make for a bigger savings, so I may wait and see if any coupons pop up, although no has posted any on here for almost a year, and I couldn't find any online. There have also been Google Checkout discounts in the past, but looks like nothing at the moment.

They still have plenty at one of the stores here. The display was moved from the isle in front of Electronics to a spot inside the department.

Every Wal-Mart around me, 4 of them, all seem to suck when it comes to special deals and they never have any of the stuff everyone else can find. It's been like that for the last year, for some reason.

That sucks! I saw Puppetmaster Vol 1 with the first three movies together and grabbed two of them for 5 bucks a piece. Got to love Walmart for stuff like that.

Seems like there's always some drama with my account too (addresses missing, card never properly filed, etc.)

ordered a single dvd from the sale (the deadly spawn) and it arrived today without issue. my only real problem with DD right now is that their packaging sucks and I never get the coupons in my email.

Re: Deep Discount Halloween Sale - Now with prices that beat Amazon

Good lord. I just spent a good amount of time checking out their sale. Had 5 items in my cart. Looked at the final page of sale items. Done. Click on my cart and I go to a screen that says "pardon our dust" and then explains they're updating their site. My cart is empty. I'm not going through all that again. Oh, well.

Re: Deep Discount Halloween Sale - Now with prices that beat Amazon

Yeah, I ordered three books from them several weeks back, after clicking on a lot of stuff with the "Add to Bag" option that wasn't actually available when I added them to my bag.

Three and a half weeks later, they shipped one book to me (with zero padding) and they canceled the other two due to not being able to obtain them. They have charged my CC about 8-9 times for those books they haven't shipped, but then each time removed the charges again automatically after a few days. So, it's been interesting.

I know but I'm not sold that it'll look great and the DVD didn't cost me anything out of pocket. Plus I realized I've never seen it all the way through.

^You're lucky on shipping. I finally got my Bava set after 2 1/2 weeks. That's become normal for me with the new owners. Normally it'll be 2-3 days processing, 7-10 days getting to the nearest distribution center and then another 3-5 days to make the last 70 miles. Other stuff going through that center doesn't take nearly as long so I firmly believe the go between is not actually handing off the package when they say they are.

Re: Deep Discount Halloween Sale - Now with prices that beat Amazon

Back when they had free shipping it always took 14 days. This time they even beat a couple other places that had already shipped me some stuff earlier that I'm still waiting on.

I sent an email last night about the last couple items since my order says they're in stock but got a response back this morning saying they're out of stock on them. 45 minutes later I get a shipping email for my sci-fi set. Just waiting on Hellraiser 2 now but I already own the DVD so I'm not in any huge rush to get it.
