I kid, I kid. I would check this out since it looks like something the WB would've put on. But..just too much to watch now. Maybe once some stuff gets cut, I'll check this out if the reviews stay positive.

Looks decent, but this will bomb...hard. CW is down 30% for nearly every show, and a I can see this getting a .7 or .8 tonight. Going to watch for the time being.

Rachel Bilson as a doctor. I believe it
There's been a lot of talk about "man card" and CW shows on this board, but this is the only one where I believe you absolutely cannot watch unless you're a girl.
I mean seriosuly, it's got Dixie in the title and her stethoscope is fucking heart shaped!

I finished watching it. The premiere is available on Itunes for free, as well as other Series/season premieres which I find great since I don't have all the time in the world to watch everything I want so being able to download and watch it for free is a great alternative. Anyway,as to the show, it was ok. Totally reminded me a little of Everwood and the twist at the end and other little twists during the show seemed to come out of no where and seemed shoe horned in. But then again, Rachel Bilson and Jaime King
I'll give it a couple of episodes. As for my man card, it's nothing but a hanging chad now

I'm there for Rachel Bilson. In fact, I'm here for Rachel Bilson too, so if you're reading this, call me. No seriously, call me.

Yeah a 6 1/2 minute trailer is a bit much.

As an Alabamian, I found it to be a fairly shitty representation of the south. Which is typical of network tv.
And I can honestly say I've never seen anything remotely similar to that Confederate-pride cotillion, or whatever the fuck it was supposed to be.

I thought the pilot was ok. Scott Porter's southern accent was awful. The accent he had in Friday Night Lights sucked.

I wish it was more like Everwood. That was my favorite WB show after ANGEL. I'm watching season 1 for the first time in years, and if this show were more like it, I'd like it more.
Instead it's Summer Roberts, no longer involved with Seth Cohen, graduates from Brown University and out of the blue decided it's like totally cool to be a surgeon and stuff (Eww), and ends up as a family doctor in the south. She's like living her dream. Kinda-sorta.
Just can't buy her as being some technobabble-spouting surgeon. Too far beyond suspension of disbelief.

Just finished watching this and it was cute.
If your a fan of Rachel Bilson from her days on The Oc, it's basically Summer Roberts playing Doctor in the South. Bilson's not believable at all as a doctor. So if your going to watch this, it's going to be a little hard to take her seriously as a well educated surgeon. But, I do find her attractive and the Zoe Hart character has alot of the spunk and charm that Summer has.
But, damn these so-called Southern accents are terrible. Just because it takes place in Alabama, do they really think people outside the state think people speak like that? That to me was just stereotypical Hollywood writing.
I have a feeling the little love triangle they hinted with Scott Porter/Jaime King/Cress Williams is going to be annoying.
I really liked Nancy Travis's character. It's too bad she joined Tim Allen's ABC sitcom. I think this show does need an older female character to be sort of a guide for Zoe and I thought she did a good job with that part.
Not bad, but not great. I'm going to continue to watch because of Bilson.
Also, how does that fat chick not know that she is carrying a baby and it's almost to full term?

Nancy Travis will be back for another episode so they can explain why her character leaves the show.
Though I suspect she might be back sooner if the Tim Allen sitcom doesn't work.

Thought this was pretty good. I think it was actually a bit better than I was expecting. They really didn't have time to flesh out any characters. The Evereood VoiceOver intro worked better than her narration.
The twist at the end was a bit cliche. I do like that the characters will have room to grow. There could be some good story lines develop throughout he year.
Any idea how much time passed since the confrontation with her mI'm?
Damn, was NT that the office manager? I though she was a good guide for Zoey. She'll be missed. Hopefully they can replace her with somebody similar.
Odd I felt Bilson played this with more maturity. Her quip certainly didn't come out like something from Summer Roberts.

A coworker recommended this to me and I was shaking my head in disbelief throughout. Hallmark channel movies are better than this.
Take the worst of Gilmore Girls and the worst of Everwood (Mimoun era) and wow what a stinker. There is too much estrogen in the writing for me to identify with any of the characters.
Unfortunately, I have to watch more episodes since I lectured that same coworker about giving up on dramas too early ... DOH!
