"The Skank Reflex Analysis" - Penny worries that she's screwed things up permanently with her friends, while Sheldon takes command of the paintball team, on the fifth season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Sept. 22 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Christine Baranski ("The Good Wife") reprises her role as Leonard's mother.

I kinda wish now that sitcoms didn't open with 2 episodes. How I Met Your Mother also did it and i find after i tend to merge them together. Anyway, i think i really enjoyed the 1st one but the funniest moment was in the 2nd with Raj and Howard's "kiss"

Just wanted to say that I just started watching this show... almost done with Season one and I find it hilarious! Can't wait to get caught up!

This used to be a pretty good show, but now it's mostly crap. C. Sheen is probably just as crazy as he seems, but I think he's mostly right about Lorre. That guy is responsible for a lot of crap on tv and very little about his shows are intelligent or original or even inspired.

Seemed a little flat tonight. Not feeling the Penny / Rajesh storyline at all. Its actullay kinda ruining the show for me. Will keep on watching for now.

I thought the second episode was great, especially with Raj and Howard. Glad they moved past the Raj/Penny thing quickly.

Not only moved past Raj/Penny, but retconned the whole thing.

Too much Amy, although I did think it was funny her and Penny running down four flights of stairs, screaming the whole way.

And Priya's parents being in the room while Leonard was trying to have webcam sex with her was predictable but still good for a laugh. "Hello Leonard, if I may ALSO say your name!"

I thought it was pretty good. I don't like Leonard and Priya together. It was good to see Leonard's mom again, though. The Howard/Raj kissing was definitely the funniest part of both episodes. And I think Amy and Penny really work well together.

Wow...Blossom is quickly becoming my second favorite character on the show. She's hilarious.

Agreed, she was a great addition to the cast. Was it just me or was her delivery slightly less robotic. I always got the sense she was just doing a Sheldon imitation. I felt a little more personality came through in these episodes.

Yes, definitely. When she first appeared on the show she was just a Sheldon clone. She couldn't pull it off very well - and even if she did, we didn't need a repeat character. As the show went on we saw her zainy side come out and because of it she's actually fun to watch.

Actually, I liked that Amy and Bernadette are on the show. They both add a much needed dimension and really addressed the issue of only seein Penny with one (or all) of the guys. She needed to have girlfriends that we actually see.

I wouldn't say the Raj/Penny incident was retconned at all. For Raj, an incident like that makes perfect sense, especially because its with someone he really knows like Penny, rather than how he does ok with the rare random girl like back in season 1.

I think it's time they make Raj able to talk to Penny without alcohol. She's been in the group long enough and it's been established they'll be nothing more than friends after the failed sex attempt - so his mental thing with women should be relaxed with Penny now. I think that's something the show should aim for this season, since Raj seems to be the most stagnant character.

Yeah the whole 'needs alcohol to talk to women' thing is played out now. Half the time he just happens to have a beer in his hand anyway so it seems kind of pointless.

I thought the Howard/Raj kissing thing was somewhat disturbing.

Losing my fascination with this show. The wife still loves it so we watch it. Although I think Kaley Cuoco is pretty hot, the character of Penny just annoys me now
