Pierce: I'm back.
The dean looks like my former boss, a closeted gay bald man with a goatee. They even talk the same way and make the same kind of jokes. Creepy.
Edit: I nearly peed myself during the 2001 spoof. Jeff and pierce being one in the same.

Chang as a security guard has all kinds of potential.

All in all a decent premiere; nice to see them moving the stories forward a little and introducing some new characters. Funny references to Cougar Town and Breaking Bad as well. They went to some dark places, but it was good to see Pierce and Jeff come to a sort of understanding.

Not enough Annie.
Also, no way that Abed doesn't know that Cougar Town is pushed back to mid-season before the start of the fall semester. He would know in May from the upfronts!

One minor quibble being that I hope this resolves the Pierce "is he in or out of the group?" stuff that IMO has been going on too long.
