One of the best comedies of last year with one of the coolest set of grandparents on TV (Plimpton was my Emmy pick)!

I re-watched the season finale on Hulu a week ago to refresh my memory and I liked the way it ended. It was great to see some backstory on the Chance's. It ended clean and was a sweet episode.
BTW, I saw Martha Plimpton on the Emmys broadcast Sunday and her hair was all chopped off and really butchy. I wonder if we'll see Virginia's hairstyle change sometime later this season.

Pretty cool to see that the writers watch Happy Endings: "I saw an ABC sitcom where a woman could only speak Italian when she was drunk."

Hats off to the show for making a 9/11 joke, especially knowing that it would air barely a week after the tenth anniversary.

What a cool little nod to the passing of Sherwood Schwartz with Gilligan's hat and recapping the premise in song. I wonder if they'll incorporate Hope more into the show now that she's a bit more with it.

I loved the premiere. Shelly's recap song was cute. MawMaw was great in this episode. I wish Cloris Leachman got more attention than Betty White. I think Cloris is a better comedic actress.

That was my favorite line of the episode. Also liked Virginia whacking the bird with a tennis racket and Burt getting it stuck in his shirt.I need to see more of Sabrina. Normally I'm a fan of bangs, but that haircut seemed a little too short or something. I couldn't really get a good look, though.
Always good to get a Shelly song.

This seemed like one of the best episodes of the show so far to me. I watched all of last season except for maybe an episode or two, and, while I enjoyed it, it never quite clicked for me. This episode seemed just about perfect.
