Honestly, I wasn't aware the new season started tomorrow. Appreciate the thread as a reminder to get the DVR set.

Voted Coach. Everyone knows Ozzie is a beast in the challenges. He's the first to go if they both make it to the merge.

I'm hoping the nephew makes it far enough into the game to the challenge where they bring in the relatives. I'm just wanting to see the look on everyone's face when Russell shows up, especially if the nephew (sorry, don't know his name) can keep it a secret.

I really don't have high hopes for this season. Last season was so godawful, I don't think they have it in them anymore to rebound.

I voted Ozzy because of his likability, but I agree Coach probably won't be perceived as a threat like Russell was. Hmm.

Fixed. They were indeed. Although she was the best choice to go first I think.

That episode didn't need to be an hour and a half.

I don't know if anyone caught this in the episode but apparently Brandon is Russell's nephew.

Semhar is more attractive, but I'm glad John stuck around. I think the possible entertainment level is higher for him, and there are other attractive women there. I'm tired of the returning player gimmick. How many chances do Ben and Dolphinboy need to win.

I had to leave but if Ozzie did vote for boobs to stay he'll be pissed. I know that he hooked up with girls in survivor outside of the house and he was working her.

If I was him, everybody who voted against her is going to get the boot for being a cock block.

Other than that. The football girl who destroyed in the basketball thing is a beast and she's cute along with the Native American but other than that there isn't a lot of eye candy this year.

I'm done for that though, I'm sick of Big Brother casting boring good looking people that brings nothing to the table, but it seems this is an even normal looking cast and that should bring a good season hopefully.

He voted her out. Everybody voted her out.

I was ready to label Ozzy a moron if he was keeping her around just because he thinks she's hot. Thankfully he did demonstrate that he's smarter than that.

And I think Whitney the blonde country girl is a looker.

I like Ozzy, but the only other person on his tribe I kinda like is the young Elvis Costello.

Yeah, too bad she didn't get more air time tonight because she's got one of the more interesting back stories. I remember following her cousin's story last spring before I ever knew who she was.

And wasn't there somebody who was actually nicknamed Dolphinboy on the season Tom won?

They must have listened to the feedback from last season, as they are now showing the votes again at the end of the episode.

Ozzy was nicknamed Dolphinboy on this board b/c of his incredible swimming skills during Survivor Cook Islands. It ended up having kind of a dual meaning.

Re: Survivor: South Pacific -- Season Premiere -- "I Need Redemption" -- 9/14/11

Great episode. I'm really liking what the season looks like so far. I actually like Coach this time around, it seems like he isn't trying to act like pretentious douche this time (well, there was the Russian bit but I expected him to start preaching about the stars and he held his tongue). I'm actually rooting for the blue team when last season I couldn't have cared less. One of the things to ruin last season for me (besides being the 24/7 Rob show) was the psycho secret agent. I guess they figured since they had Coach they didn't need him. i just hope the Dragon Slayer stays silent this time.

Good cast and fairly even screen time for everyone.

Ozzy, after Semhar walked away: "I should have taught her how to make fire."

Re: Survivor: South Pacific -- Season Premiere -- "I Need Redemption" -- 9/14/11

Good episode. I found myself rooting for blue too, largely due to our Survivor game, but they were somewhat likable even with Coach and Little Russell. They didn't waste any time establishing one tribe as the workers and one as the players.

I'm kind of a sucker for the women who play basketball, which is why I picked Ashley for last year's game and Mikayla for this year's. Mikayla looked good shooting those baskets, and she made a lot of them too.

Semhar was completely lame and deserved to be voted out. I did like Ozzy's line.

Rick showed good strength in chopping the ropes, but Albert really impressed me powerlifting Brandon up the wall.

I like Jim though he seemed like a closet gay. Maybe it was just the Dom Deluise thing he had going.

Agreed on Whitney looking nice too.

Re: Survivor: South Pacific -- Season Premiere -- "I Need Redemption" -- 9/14/11

I enjoyed the 1st episode. Definitely did not need to be 90 minutes. They could have edited out some of the filler.

Really? Brandon is going to keep his shirt on all 39 days to cover up the tattoo.

Even though this is Ozzy's 3rd time on the show, he's still very likeable. I'll pull for him until he gets voted out by the merge.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think Elyse is pretty damn cute.

Is that a camping thing, but are there people who actually brush their teeth with ashes?

No way in hell Semhar comes back.
