Kino "The Best of Jazz and Blues" DVD $7.99

For classic jazz fans, this one is ESSENTIAL & is usually $29.99. I've been waiting a long time for a good price on it. In most cases it also has the best video quality available. Kino is also doing free shipping at $25 this weekend.

I bit on this & the Noir V.2 box. I already had 2 of the 5 films in the box, but I'll just sell the 2 I've got & enjoy this screamin' deal!

Holy toledo, that is a great deal! That's a great dvd, too; I got mine for about $13+ and thought I did great, but that was then. I got it for the Louis Armstrong short where he's playing knee-deep in soap bubbles.

All around fantastic find.

Here's the rest of their clearance items: http://www.kino.com/video/results.php?promo_id=428

I'm very curious about the Classic Educational Shorts: The Celluloid Salesman. Looks hilarious, like the shorts riffed on MST3K & Rifftrax (minus the riffing). Particularly this "Freeze-In" video meant only for Sears employees; from the management videos I was forced to watch at Hollywood Video, insular corporate humor is embarrassingly bad & deserves to be made public.

Thanks for letting us know about this deal. I picked it up as well as the Film Noir sets. (I had decided against buying them from DD when they were $25 each and wasn't going to make that mistake again!) I also picked up Sunrise/Sunset for 9.99.

Thanks OP. I ordered The Best of Jazz and Blues, and, in order to get free shipping, added The Best of Big Bands and Swing for 7.99 and Double Take for 9.99. I would have grabbed both Noir sets if I didn't already own them.

Be warned, "The Best of Big Bands and Swing" is more pop/easy than jazz.
