I'm sick of movies that...

1. think they are the next best thing in romantic-comedy.

2. convert to 3D in post-production just to make an extra buck. why can't movies use the same technology as Avatar? that was an astonishing experience in 3D and not one movie since has come remotely close to the same true visual dimensionality as it.

3. star Sarah Jessica Parker!

Re: I'm sick of movies that...

1. That's just an opinion.
2. Some have used the same technology...or at least the same 3D cameras. Maybe you assume all are conversions?
3. Don't see a movie staring SJP.

Is life really this difficult for you?

don't star real men.

Charles Bronson would mop the floor with any of today's action stars before his morning bowel movement.

1. Old or "Rebellious" character who needs to be pulled out of retirement.
2. That Force happy endings.
3. That have unnecessary and poorly executed "humor" injected when there's no need for it. (Green Lantern I'm looking at YOU)
4. That force Love story lines

Re: I'm sick of movies that...

1. Films in which the good guy almost dies and ends up pulling through
2. Remakes that give the film a happy ending

Re: I'm sick of movies that...

1. Throw in a mop top child for the sole purpose of bringing in the youth demographic.
2. Are "quirky" independent films.
3. Have several interconnecting storylines. Its been done to death.

Especially if they have an acoustic guitar as the soundtrack.

I'm sick of movies that always make the good guy win. I want to see the bad guy destroy towns, cities and win victorious!

I'm sick of movies where aliens visit Earth and get destroyed instead of them blowing up Earth then leaving to hunt down another planet.

Re: I'm sick of movies that...

The twist that the character has some serious multiple personality problem and/or thinks he's someone else. The twist has fizzled out. It was once cool. But it's done, until someone puts something fresh into it. I'm sure you guys can bring up a bunch of examples (ie Psycho). But it blew me in Fight Club. There were a few others that were cool. The Sixth Sense was good. But there's been 5-or-so big movies now, and countless others that have used this. And it's just old.

I seem to remember that a lot of movies pulled the "it was just a dream" trick in the 80's. The trend reminds me of that.

To a lesser extent, the "building under seige" movies became tired. One of the last ones I remember was Sudden Death, which I quite like.

Seriously man? I bet you're a real treat at a party.

Back to the question at hand. I'm sick of movies that are reboots.

...have one person slowly start applauding, then the rest of the crowd joins them. Ugh.
