Good price. During yesterday's midnight sale, Best Buy had all the seasons for $10.99 + free shipping + a $10 gift card if you bought 3.
FWIW, I believe the $10 gift card offer still works if you're picking up 3 or more. It should be listed under the "Special Offers" on the item page.

No TV season DVD set over $14.99 is a good deal, IMHO. My TV set price point is $10 or less on DVD or $20 or less on BD, with $15 being the borderline between formats. I learned never to pay more than $15 on a Simpsons DVD set.

I agree with you overall, but getting a full season (22+ eps) drama on BD for under $20 is not an easy task. Sitcoms, sure, but hour-long shows on BD rarely go that low. I completely agree that a DVD season should not cost more than $14.99. They all seem to hit that price, or lower, if you wait long enough. Especially animated shows. Those always seem to hit $12.99 or $9.99 at some point... I was patient on Cleveland Show, which came out 10 1/2 months ago, and just bought it for $8.99 this week (even less, if you factor in the free $10 GC I got for buying 3 titles)

If you wait until Black Friday you can snag almost all single seasons on DVD for most shows for $15-10 if not less. I'm thinking it'll be less this year given how many single season DVD sets have regularly been on sale for $10 throughout the year.
As for the Simpsons, Target has put them all on sale on occasion. Within the past 3 years I bought something like seasons 1-10 all at once and I think they were all $10. The problem is Target has limited shelf space so who knows if they even stock seasons 1-10 anymore.
But $17.99 isn't a good price point for the Simpsons if you can simply wait because it will pop up lower sooner or later. If you need it for a gift or you gotta have it now, well then you're going to do what you're going to do and buy what you're going to buy.
