Fast Five - 10/4/11

Universal is going the Disney route and will provide BD/DVD Combo Packs in both BD and DVD packaging. Amazon has pre-orders up for both. Specs aren't known yet.

I hope it has solid features cuz I'd love to see some of the stuff on the stuntwork. Something that I don't believe gets a lot of love from in the features.

Nice set of features (though the Dom vs Hobbs documentary sounds laughable since that fight was unbelievably lame) but I liked this movie so much that I'd pick it up even if it were barebones.

If you like action flicks or the series at all, I'd say go for it - easily the most fun action movie of 2011 so far.

Not digging the heavily photoshopped cover. It looks unfinished.

I always found that poster very odd-looking. The Rock's boobs look like they were "over-photoshopped."

I'm just mad that the slipcover doesn't match the other four films' slipcovers. Couldn't even included a damn Roman numeral "V" on the side to go along with the others.

These must be selling since people are doing them but it seems inane to me.

This.

Also, KC, if you enjoyed the first four in the series, you'll love this one.

I've only seen the first one, back when it came out, and I thought it was very mediocre. But most reviews have pointed to this entry being the highlight of the series, so I've got a feeling I'd enjoy it.

LOL if only the Blu-Ray came with D-Box technology so your couch moved with the movie.

The Hummer behind Walker hasn't been color corrected & Jordanna Brewster isn't lit the same as everyone else. Everyone but the three leads have a terrible copy & paste look to them.

Just looks unfinished, IMO. At least it isn't a floating head design.

It allows the DVD Revenue to be counted as Blu-ray revenue so they can tout how awesome Blu-ray is doing. It's the last step before retailers reduce the OD section even further.

I can see it now... a new market for double rumble.. Low frequency for your Subwoofer... and a shake feature for your couch...

Re: Fast Five - 10/4/11

Plenty of BD's do come with D-Box codes so it's not much of a stretch. And plenty of people like to add tactile transducers to their HT systems.
