i don't own any Pink Panther DVD but even at the price i'm not sure if i should buy it or not seeing that i have loads of collectors sets that i still haven't watched..you think i should get it?

Looks like the films are of varying quality, and the packaging gets mixed reviews (cool: book, themed case; bad: paper slits for disks), but when the cartoons themselves are going for a couple hundred bucks, it's 'worth it' just for those. I picked it up.
Trade in value already dropped to 34.75, wonder how many flippers there were in the past couple hours.

I decided to bite since all I had was the 5 disc cartoon set and the Steve Martin movie. Figured if I didn't like it, I could sell it or if I do like it, I could sell my other 2.

These movies are still great and have certainly withstood the test of time. The cartoons have always been my favorites as well. I don't even want to think about what I spent when the spilt packs came out.

Just opened this last night and watched the first film. Poor Clouseau, I wanted to slap his wife. Very 60s. Very good. I don't think I had every actually seen any of the actual PP movies.

This is a nice set. I'm not a huge fan of 'cardboard envelope' type things, but this looks better than most. The book is nice too, what little I've read of it.

Only issue is storage. It won't fit on my DVD racks, and I don't have a bookcase downstairs big enough for it.

Amazon's listing now says "While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here.
