What are these two movies from the 90's?
First movie:
I saw the trailer for this before Mrs. Doubtfire at a drafthouse, so this is from '93 or so. Involved a man and woman, happily together..then she gets murdered. The guy is accused, and there's a shot of him yelling "I didn't do it!" I think he had longish hair.
Second movie:
A kid lives with his grandfather, and grows up living with him. As a kid there is a scene where they are at a baseball game, and they attempt to catch a foul ball. The grandfather gets into an argument with another spectator about who caught the ball.
As an adult, the son brings a woman home, but the grandfather interrupts. That's about all I remember.
Thanks for any help.

I didn't kill my wife!
and I don't know the second one. I don't think it's Angels in the Outfield. Kids having to live with their grandparents or aunt and uncle seemed like a common cliche in 90's kid's movies.

Yeah, that second one doesn't sound like Angels in the Outfield; there is a sequence with the foul ball dispute but there's no grandparent. Also, the '90's version dealt with kids in a foster home and was filmed at the Oakland Athletics stadium instead of Angels Stadium because of the renovations there.

Yes, thank you! The second one is Roommates, I just looked it up and remembered the Doctor related storyline. Weird coincidence, since I saw The Princess Bride last night.
First one remains elusive...

For my second guess I was going to guess The Rookie, The Sandlot or Angles in the Outfield... so I just picked one.

Haha the first one wasn't The Fugitive. I think it was a younger looking guy than Harrison, plus I also remember that he was jailed or actually caught in the trailer.

Yeah, The Fugitive was already 3 months old (in theaters) by the time Doubtfire was out anyway.
Shawshank Redemption almost fits. Manhattan Murder Mystery maybe? Guilty As Sin? Man wives have it bad in movies.
...China Moon? Heh.

Re: What are these two movies from the 90's?
The only movie I could think of from that time period that is close would be DISCLOSURE with Michael Douglas...but he's accused of sexual harassment, not murder - so that's probably not the one you're thinking of (and I'm assuming you wouldn't have forgotten if it was Michael Douglas).
The description you give sounds a lot like PRESUMED INNOCENT (with Harrison Ford), but the mistress was killed in that one, and Ford had VERY short hair. And that movie came out in 1990, so it doesn't fit your time frame.

A little more info required. Is it a thriller? Is it an American movie?

Was it The Vanishing?
I can't listen to it full volume in my office but i don't think there is a "killed my wife" line. Seems to fit the tone though.

Re: What are these two movies from the 90's?
My new thought is that since Mrs. Doubtfire came out in December 1993, then since it was a trailer it has to be from 1994. I'm going to look on Wikipedia to do some hunting.
I think it might have been a thriller, but I can't be sure. It appeared to be American.
Damn I thought this was it for a second but I don't think so. I might have to see that though.
