Wonder why they are doing 2 episodes together instead of just doing one for the premiere.

I thought they were calling this season 6. Is it really 5.5?

This is the 2nd half of season 6, which Comedy Central bought. Season 5 ended in 2003 when the show was originally cancelled.

Anyone else think the pacing is off on these comedy central episodes? Seems like these plots are just ZOOMING by

Some funny moments, but neither episode blew me away.

Glad to have it back on!

The gender switch part was pretty funny.

Actually, it looks like Season 5 was the four movies.

I do remember some confusion over the numbering of the seasons on Fox too. I think my personal confusion comes from the packaging for the first 13 Comedy Central episodes, which are labeled as Volume 5.

Anyhow, enjoyed both episodes, although the second one ran out of steam about halfway through.

The gender switching stuff was good, as was the second rock guy (forget his name). The guys doing the calendar was hilarious. I'll admit I thought female Fry was pretty cute.

Benderama was a better overall episode. The shot of all the Benders in the bar inside the wall was genius. I need an animation cell from that shot.

I'm surprised no one has added Futurama to the Popular Culture section of the Grey goo Wikipedia page yet

Looks like someone agreed with you:

"Benderama," a sixth-season episode of the animated series Futurama, uses grey goo as a plot device. Bender uses a replicating device to create two smaller copies of himself, each of which does the same. The process continues until the new Benders reach the atomic scale and begin synthesizing ethanol to use as fuel, causing everyone on Earth to become severely intoxicated.

I don't think cells really exist for most animation anymore.

There are some, when I go to auctions I see them from time to time.
