Mia Amber Davis -- the big girl who seduced DJ Qualls' character in "Road Trip" -- has passed away ... this according to her friends at Plus Model Magazine.

The details surrounding Mia's death are still emerging ... and so far, no cause of death has been released.
According to MediaTakeOut.com, 36-year-old Mia is survived by her husband Mike.

The article I saw elsewhere said that she appeared to have died from complications from knee surgery. Blood clot got her?

What a idiotic statement! Since when the size of a person, and their race have to do with not recognizing the death of an actor, or actress? It shouldn't matter! Would you have posted if Halle Berry, or Beyonce had died just because they're slim, and black? This is the year of 2011. We're not living in the 1700 anymore. People are more liberal!

It sucks she died obviously...but...I think this probably wouldn't get mentioned much anyway cuz she's not very prominent to us in film. Memorable to some via that film but to most not much. I never saw the film so I don't know her.

I saw her picture in an article mentioning her death, but they didn't mention that she was in Road Trip. I knew I recognized her and it drove me crazy that I couldn't remember from where.

To be fair to the guy getting ripped apart, overweight African American women are at a higher risk for heart disease than similar sized people of other races.
