Looks like John Hawkes might get his second nomination in as many years. Good for him.

Oh so she's the one that got the actual talent in the family.

She's definitely the better looking sister. Also, she gets nekkid in this flick.

Saw this last night at the NYFF. Great film, and interesting cinematography and editing. The filmmakers execute really well on confusing the audience (even if only momentarily) on whether something is happening in the present or the past. I think the ending will also start a lot of discussions.
In the Q&A afterwards, Hawkes mentioned that he was the one asked to do this part (Olsen was the only one who auditioned). He said he didn't want to do a cult movie initially; he gets offers at least once a year to do a Manson biopic.
Recommended.

Saw this one tonight. Olsen is pretty good, and well, if you want to see Olsen boobs and butt, this is the movie for that.
The cult stuff was pretty creepy.

John Hawke's haunting performance of "Marcy's Song" from the film is now online.

It seems there is almost no interest in this. Comes out on DVD/Blu next month, have it at the top of my rental queue.

This was a hell of of a film. Well directed, some good actors, too.
I didn't find it all that confusing, like some have, but I'm still not exactly sure what happened in the final scene of the film.
And yes, Liz Olsen is a beautiful girl. Never thought I'd see one of the Olsen sisters with an actual woman's body.

I loved the movie as well, it does a great job capturing paranoia. The director does try to confuse the audience but it's not a bad thing, it allows you to see the world through the protagonist's eyes. John Hawkes is hypnotic, I can't believe he didn't get major awards hype.

I don't think the cult finds her at any point, even if they were looking for her. The suggestion is all in her head, imo.
