That looks like loads more fun than what the plot summary suggests.
I love why Balthazar did it.

Eh, they didn't pull it off. This episode and one other are the only ones I haven't liked too much. It wasn't terrible or anything just boring. Felt like a primer for next weeks new episode due to the break.

Bad episode like most this season. It was almost as stupid as the fairy-episode.
Next year I'm out.

I enjoyed it. It was just a throwaway episode to lighten the mood after the last episode.

I enjoyed it. I like Balthazar's character and the actor who plays him. I could give a fuck about the Eve storyline, though.

I did like how it started like a "Monster Of The Week" episode but then began throwing little things here and there that were "off" before surprising us with Ellen being alive and married to Bobby - then at that point it was clearly a "Mythology" episode instead.

I didn't like this episode either. Normally I love it when the writers, Jensen and Jared have fun, but the episode ended up being pointless. It had the potential to be fun, but they didn't pull off the Titanic gag well. If your going to do some Titanic spoof/gag, at least go all out and show us the fucking ship. I thought the segment with the music montage and Sam and Dean tempting fate was just stupid. The best "fun" episode they did this season was the alternate universe one where they played themselves.
It was cool seeing Ellen again and I loved the opening kill with the guy getting decapitated.
I did get a kick when Balthazar said Celine Dion was just a random club singer in Quebec in that alternate timeline.
Fate was kinda cute. I liked the dark rimmed glasses.
at Sam and Dean waking up to "My heart will go on"
The episode has it's moments, it wasn't a total dud. I would give it a C-.

Not a great episode, but I do think I enjoyed it more because I avoided seeing the promo or reading the synopsis before watching the episode so the surprises in it weren't spoiled for me.

I really enjoyed the episode... there were quite a few LOL moments for me... I don't understand the hate... and all in all, this season has been pretty good...

He's written some really solid episodes. I agree with a previous statement you made that he should have been promoted to showrunner, not Sera Gamble. I think Sera has done a decent job keeping the tone of the show consistent, but the episodes have been a little all over the place this season.

I think, even if Edlund had taken over, it still would be uneven. Usually when a show gets a new showrunner they need some time to acclimate to the new direction. Given how clear of an ending the last season had, I think the fact that this season doesn't flat out suck is enough to keep me interested.

I don't know if this was mentioned in either the HD or DVD Talk forum, but
Supernatural: The Anime series is coming to DVD and BD on July 26th

22 episodes and Jared and Jensen are indeed doing the voices of Sam and Dean.

Enjoyed it. I agree though seemed like a little bit of a light episode for this late in the season.
Is it wrong that I didn't care whether Ellen lived or died as long as the Impala was back?

I liked it, too. I was so confused when Ellen was there, thinking I somehow missed an episode or something.
Anyway, anyone hear anything about a seventh season yet?

I liked it. It was cool seeing Ellen again. I was seriously going "WTF" when they showed that she was married to Bobby. Liked a lot of the little throw-away lines talking about Celine Dion and all that. Too bad they couldn't keep Ellen and Jo around. I always liked them.
I was kind of interested in this, but Jensen Ackles is only the voice of Dean in two episodes, from what I've read. That made me not interested.

I saw the first two episodes of the anime. It's really weird not having Jensen as the voice of Dean, and one of the two episodes was an animated rehash of a real episode. I was not impressed.

Agreed. I watched the first several eps and it failed to pull me in. Not having Dean there was strange.
