2nd trailer looks good.

I can't say I'm a huge Zack Snyder fan but after seeing '300' I always thought of him doing an over the top Mortal Kombat film would be something inspiring.

If your just visiting this thread for the 1st time, the 2nd trailer can't be seen right now (It says Private Video). It had some audio sync problems. The director of MKL just tweeted that it's being fixed.

Just finished watching Rebirth, haven't seen it since it first came out, but I'm really glad this whole team got recognized, and I'm looking forward to this mini series.

That was fucking awesome!! Jax and Stryker are 2 badass mother fuckers. Sonya Blade's appearance was brief, but I liked seeing Jeri Ryan play her.

The production value was great. It looked very much feature film quality. The fight scene with Jax and Kano was really well chereographed. It looks to me they are making Kano to be some sort of international terrorist. I'm looking forward to next week and seeing how they incorporate the other MK characters.

That was much better than I expected. I wouldn't really call Sonya's appearance brief, the whole episode was about her.

Yeah I guess I was hoping to see Sonya kick some ass instead of being held tied up & held hostage for most of the episode.

I looked at some of the comments on Youtube and there are some really mean people commenting on how Jeri Ryan is too old to play Sonya. I'd rather have her play the character than Pete Sampras' wife again.

Edit: I sent Jeri Ryan a message on Twitter about Sonya and she replied back that Sonya will be in action in episode 2.

For an internet type thing - this is about 400% better than that crap on the Sifi channel that they call movies.

Why can't a network just take this and make it into a show, just add comercials, and about 5 minutes or so of filler and you got yourself a 1/2 hr show.

The production value from the looks of it is similar to a DTV B movie which is cool with me. Glad that the director managed to hook Warner Bros into paying for this. I'm sure they are going to make even more money when they edit this together and make a DVD or BD release later this year.

You have Directv right? You can now watch Youtube videos on your DVR/Box. Just do a search and it should come up.

I thought it was ok but pretty good for a web series. I'll say this about Ryan - it's cool that she's doing this as I doubt actresses are lining up for something like this.

Gets me excited about youtube's potential as a media channel. They do hope to compete against broadcast tv.

I thought it was just okay. It has potential to be great but I found it just average. I thought the demo reel showed more promise (especially in terms of fight choreography).

However, I'm glad it seems they'll be incorporating more traditional MK elements into the actual series (and, I assume, the eventual feature film) rather than the "Batman Begins on crack" approach in the demo reel.

Watching this made me sad that the Kano from the original movie, Trevor Goddard, isn't around anymore.
