Costco was supposed to have had it for 25 or so at one time but I never found a copy, have never heard of it cheaper than that.

This is real good stuff. I picked up the 3 volumes seperately a couple years back at Bb for around $13 ea.

Is this price a 1 day special or will it last another day or two?

I haven't had a chance to go to BB to buy my Amazon GCs yet and would rather use that credit to buy this than paying out of pocket. I'll probably do that tomorrow night.

Also, this is the lowest price from Amazon, but they had it at this same price back in October and November. I didn't jump on it then... probably because I heard bad things about the double sided DVD-18 discs. So if it only lasts today, hopefully it'll be $27.49 again in a few months, though I might feel less inclined to pay that price if I've used up my GC.

That's what I've been asking myself this week.

It's been lower though. I got it at Buy.com for $22 Dec 09. Also the chart above says it's been a little over 20 bucks from third party sellers. Still a great price, but maybe not the lowest it's ever been.

Correct. My notes say $22 @ Buy in Dec 09 as well, but Amazon's lowest price so far (excluding 3rd party sellers) is $27.49. The $22 price at Buy was weighing on my decision to buy this because I hate paying $5.49 more because I didn't act in time last time. It will probably just sit on the shelf unopened in my "wish I had time to watch it but work and family responsibilities prevent me" list. However, having just converted my BB gift cards to Amazon ones, I ordered it anyway... because, well, I'm stupid. Expect it to drop in price further. :-)

I also found out it was 7 DVD-14s rather than DVD-18s. Most reviews say the picture quality is fine and doesn't have excessive compression. Having no subtitles is a bummer as I always have to struggle to find the CC setting on the TV when watching with English challenged people.

Is that definite? I've been wanting to get this, but the recent comments imply there are still problems. The reviewers may be referring to their old copies though.
