I like Fincher but top spot? Really? I mean the guy has made some good movies but I'd take films by a bunch of those directors on that list before his. I'm guessing this is just because he had a big hit with The Social Network (I personally didn't think it was all that great but whatever) but still..

That list is a joke...Almodovar is the only Foreign language film director??? Why even include him if you are going to ignore everyone else...

I don't hate the list but how is Scorsese not #1? he's been on a creative role for the past...well forever. Any time Terrence Malik is on a list of working directors I'm happy (keep on hating, haters). How is Kathryn Bigelow on the list, the Hurt Locker was great but you have to go back to 1995 to find anything relevant and even that was a box office disappointment.

Like I said...if it was JUST a list of directors that are good....sure. BUT when you put them in an order of some sort...it doesn't make sense.

Bigelow? Really? Nobody really knew of her till THL.
