The Sunset Limited (2011, d: Tommy Lee Jones) HBO Original Movie/Cormac McCarthy Play
This debuted on HBO tonight, it's basically a 90 minute conversation between a white man (Tommy Lee Jones) and a black man (Samuel L Jackson) who has found faith. It's heavy on religion but is never preachy nor offensive to religion, just an analytical look at faith.
It takes place entirely in the black man's apartment and is a conversation I think most people have gone through. Some excellent acting, especially from Samuel L Jackson. Surprisingly involving all things considered.
"I want the dead to be dead, forever, and I want to be one of them."
Oh and just to note, they are credited as Black and White.

Yup, completely agree, a great movie. I especially loved the ending; the great thing about is the ambiguity in what they really believe.
I do wish Jones would do more directing as he did a great job making the movie look interesting.

It would take a lot of talent to screw up Cormac McCarthy.

I caught this for the first time the other night and have to say it's one of the better movies I've seen in recent years. Fantastic acting by Jones & Jackson.

Bah... I didn't want to see this but after all of the positive feedback I've been hearing I may have to check it out.

The Package is available on Demand on Comcast and it's funny seeing how different Tommy Lee Jones looks.
Gene Hackman is also in the movie and looks exactly the same.

The Package is an OK spy flick but there was something dull about it. And yes, Jones cut the long locks and aged a bit more than Hackman

My boss recommended it in passing today, it just happened to be on On Demand (random right?). You're right though, it's a little dull.
I hate this trend of "Free in SD, $3.99 in HD" though. Free it is.

Weak; hopefully it was in OAR as Netflix had it when I streamed the flick a while ago.
