Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Manager Ben Donovan (Matthew Perry) turns 40 and starts to re-evaluate his life in the pilot of a sitcom that follows the goings-on at a San Diego sports arena. Ben's coworkers include Alice (Andrea Anders), a friend with benefits; and Crystal (Allison Janney), his unpredictable boss.


Starring:
Matthew Perry (Friends, Studio 60)
James Lesure (Las Vegas)
Andrea Anders (Better off Ted)
Allison Janney (The West Wing)
Nate Torrence (Get Smart)

This is filling in for Cougar Town while it's on hiatus. The trailer looks hilarious. I've been looking forward to this since it was announced last May.

13 episode season

I find it weird that they cast Andrea Anders given the fact that she was in "Joey". Regardless - I am looking forward to this!

Cougar Town will be fine (it was already renewed for a 3rd season).

For some odd reason I assumed Mr. Sunshine would be an hour-long show, so was surprised to see it's a half-hour. Not a big deal, just kind of weird.

I'll give it a shot since my tuner already is committed to Modern Family before it. I just hope it's not one of the stupid ABC shows that goes to :01 of a hour.

I'm looking forward to it, but am a bit disappointed that Jorge Garcia isn't a regular. I enjoyed him on HIMYM so I was looking forward to seeing him in a more permanent comedy role elsewhere.

I thought that a tad odd too... Also that both Matthew Perry and Allison Janney are alums of Aaron Sorkin shows.

No, just a lot of Sorkin regulars. In addition to Perry and Janney, Lesure and Torrance were both on Studio 60, and the pilot is directed by Thomas Schlamme.

Good news - its not one of those stupid ABC shows - according to the listings
at TVGuide.com - Mr. Sunshine ends at :00. Mr. Sunshine however does lose
a minute - it starts at :31 - that minute goes to Modern Family.

More to the truth that it actually goes to commercials. The episodes are usually 22 minutes. The network usually pushes when they actually end, not the production runtime of each episode.

Joey is a classic. Best DVD find I ever got from Big Lots! I liked her on The Class but that one only lasted a season. She is bad luck.
