Hello:

I'd be interested to hear from anyone with a DVD Jukebox what they think of it. I really like the idea of putting all my discs in one player. Besides for how long it might take to access a specific disc, what are the major drawbacks, if any?

The prices are still a little too high right now, but if DVD players follow the trend in CD jukeboxes, they should be well under $500 pretty soon.

I don't have one, but I have heard Sony 200 discs picture and sound quality are on par with the lower end models from Sony and not the higher end(3000,7000,7700) models which are in reatively the same price range.

I have never been big on jukeboxes. If someone wants to steal my collection I would rather them have to fumble around with 200 seperate cases and the DVD player than to be able to just unplug the DVD player and run! It would take alot longer and maybe they would get caught

I have the Pioneer 301 disc player and I love it. I find I'm more likely to start watching movies when all I have to do is press a button vs. changing discs manually. That may sound very lazy, but I'm sure other people would probably agree. I got mine for $580 shipped from onecall.com. I heard that there have been problems with both the Sony and Pioneers (Sony damaging discs, Pioneer having no video out) but my experience has been pretty good.

heh, if you're worried about someone stealing your dvds, I would move. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't have a huge problem with vagrants walking through my TV room.
