Superbowl Movies for Women to Pass the Time

NOT MOVIES ABOUT FOOTBALL

I have always thought that if I owned a movie theater, I would do a special showing each year during the Superbowl of something that skews heavily toward the female demographic. I was wondering just what would be the perfect movie to book as the counterprogramming. What would you book, or if nothing else if you had a bunch of guys over at your place to watch the game what would most likely be the movie of choice if all the guys' ladies got together at the same time.

My possible picks:

The Notebook
Titanic
Gone With the Wind- a little too long, even to cover the SuperBowl IMO, but a possibility.

The Expendables
Machete

No offense...but I doubt that today's woman gives a shit about GWTW....especially males. You'd lose more w/ that film than w/ The Notebook and Titanic. As cinephile...I'd go for sure..so would most of gal friends..but..we're all film students..so that's a given almost.

Re: Superbowl Movies for Women to Pass the Time

Women should be made to watch the Super Bowl and all 36 hours of pre and post game shows for all the chick flicks they drag their men to during the rest of the year.

The super bowl has many spots in the top 10 most viewed shows in the history of T.V. A lot of women love football. And a lot of women, like my wife, will watch it for the social aspects/commercials.

you'd be surprised to know, but many women actually enjoy watching the game.

The end result: you'd lose money. A lot of it. The Superbowl is geared towards family watching, with all the stupid movie trailers, superstar halftime shows, "funny" commercials, specialty programming ("The Post-Superbowl episode of GLEE!!"), etc.

And completely anecdotal, but my wife saw my legs off and beat me to death with them if we were to skip the Superbowl for any reason. Not that she needs to worry, but still...

Poor girl has been brainwashed.

Spoiler:
