Best Buy Requires ID for ALL Returns
I returned some items today to Best Buy with a receipt, and was quite surprised that the CSR asked for my ID. She said Best Buy has begun implementing this new rule starting yesterday.
The rule is printed on the receipt and also displayed at the CS counter. Here's what it's saying:
"To help keep prices low for all fo our customers, Best Buy tracks returns and exchanges on an individual level. When you return or exchange an item, we require a valid form of photo ID"
I guess they're becoming stricter with their policy to prevent all those trying to fraudulently return items like what we witnessed with the B1G1 promo on video games, etc.
