Need a Criterion Double DVD case

Hey All -

I purchased a used copy of "The Rock" 2Disc set ... the discs are in mint condition, as is the interior artwork.

Unfortunately, the case and exterior Cover art were beat up. I contacted Jon at Criterion, and he was able to get me replacement cover art, but don't sell the cases anymore.

I received my cover art, and it was too small for my original criterion case ( it's one of the earlier sized double cases that are thick ). I checked it against some of my other double disc cases, Gladiator, etc., and it was too big. HELP!

I looked online and can't seem to find the proper sized case. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Need a Criterion Double DVD case

Also, I measured the artwork Criterion sent me, and it's 11" wide, which is a 1/4" wider than the standard artwork in my other cases. Did any of you just trim the artwork?

What type of double case is it?

Re: Need a Criterion Double DVD case

It's one of the older style double dvd cases ... very thick, with a page separator, double snap case.

( I'm not able to post pictures, etc )

The criterion artwork they sent me is way too short. I'm trying to find a newer style case.

With the button style hub and a thick rim around the DVD with a semi-circular place at the top for your fingers?

Re: Need a Criterion Double DVD case

No. The case is all one piece.

The page separator in the middle, is the same size as the rest of the case ....

Front Cover/Middle Page/Back cover

It's like a miniature book.

But what I need now, is a thinner double DVD case ...

The problem is ...

I have the thick, old style case ....

The new artwork from Criterion is too small.

My other double DVD cases are too small for the artwork ....

I actually, just ordered a "new" criterion copy from Amazon for $8. Got tired of wasting time, waiting on replies from Criterion if I was suppose to trim the artwork or what. I basically spent $23 ... have a new copy, and a beat up copy, plus extra artwork.

I'll probably give up trying to find a replacement case that fits. I thought it would be much easier than this.
