Forsaken Kingdom or:How I learned to stop worrying and love the Majin

Majin and the forsaken Kingdom

Biggest surprise in a year when it comes to video games. I have not finished it yet, but I am at least 75% done. I played the demo and decided to skip it. It recently fell in price so I picked it up. Right away I found myself enjoying it more than I thought I would. The more I played it the better it got. I love the mix of puzzle and combat, though both of these are a bit on the easy side. Also, like Metroid, some areas only open up after you get new powers. It really is a charmer, even with the dorky voice work of the main character.

Even if the game ended now, I would recommend it. It looks to be about a 10 hour game, and easily worth 20 bucks.

I loved the demo for this. I asked if anyone had played and got no response.

I think I got it from amazon for $16 in the after Christmas sale. Not sure if it's still on sale anywhere. Looking forward to playing this, amongst a stack of other games, but this one looks interesting.

It is not on sale anymore, but I got it for 16.99 new from amazon on Dec 24th....it is back up to 29.99...It should drop again...

Still loving this game...love the light RPG/action blend....I would not have had a problem paying 29.99 for it.

Voice work by pretty much everything in this is shit, except the Majin.

I've played only 30 minutes of it, but have loved it so far.

I wanted to kill some of the animals...god their voices...

I finished the game the other day, and found it to be fantastic....one of the true surprises this year. Not an A level game, but if you can pick it up for 20 or less it is worth it.

I tried to rent it a couple of times, but it was out each time I went to Blockbuster to rent something new on my Game Pass, so I ended up renting other games. When I renew my pass next month or in March, I may rent it. Or pick it up when it's really cheap.

It looks alright.

Ordered it to add to my "RPGs for if I ever break both legs and get 5 months disability leave from work" pile.

RPG? I thought it was an action-adventure-platformer? $10? I'm down.

Is this anything like Enslaved? I started that a couple days ago and love it so far.

So far I'm liking this game. The Majin stuff is often clever and fun.
