Looks great. Not a huge boxing fan, but at least this is on FX and they can do more creatively than a network.

I absolutely couldn't care less about boxing. Luckily this looks to be about much more than that.

I was wondering what the buzz was on this, as based on the ads, this looks like a fictionalized take on "the Fighter"

Forgot to mention that I think this is a great vehicle for star Holt McCallany. He seems to have a lot of potential and has been delegated to supporting roles as a large part of his career thus far (at least, of what I am familiar with).

I liked it as well.
The oldest daughter (She's 23)
I don't know about anyone else here, but my FX channel is terrible as far as the sound of the show. I have to turn the volume up to hear anything, then get blasted by the commercials when they start

Predictable, but loved the execution of it. Liked the apporach they took of when to show Lights beating up the two guys at the end of the episode.
This one looks like a winner guys

Absolutely LOVED this show! I also enjoyed the flashbacks showing how Lights handled the two guys. I'm in for the full season.

Wow, I thought it was pretty meh until the end... Its just an updated RockyII so far. Ill stick with it a little longer because I still think it has potential, but it needs to pick up a little more.

I was impressed last night. Had a very Sopranos feel to it (and used a few locations the show did as well). Holt is convincing as Lights, he plays the character perfectly.
I also loved the flashbacks...it is almost like they (the shows' writers/crew members) are trying to tell us, he blacks out and this is what actually happened (my take...).
Are there some cliche things, sure, but find me a show that doesn't have them. This is a great addition to the already excellent FX line up.

Loved it. This and Shameless have been real surprises for me, since I wasn't interested too much in either of these shows based off of the promos.

That was a really solid debut. Holt McCallany was great as Patrick/Lights. The flashbacks that reflected Lights past and current events were really well Done. Good editing. The premise of the show is kind of thin for longevity, but I'm in for however long this lasts.
The scenes from the future episodes look promising. FX really knows how to take chances on quality scripted shows.
