wow i'm surprised no major DVD website mentioned anything about this release.

first, i expected this release late 2011 when the remake hits cinemas but this is coming out in a month!

second, this comes with a fourth disc loaded with special features...this looks like a proper release.

Thanks for posting, hadn't heard anything about this. It's nice that they're giving us a 4th Disc of Bonus Features, since the first two releases were pretty weak on the extras front. Hopefully it drops in price closer to release date. It's too bad this doesn't seem to include the extended cuts though. I'd like to say I'll hold out for those, but I'll probably get this set, only on Blu.

David Fincher is directing, so I'm very intrigued. A remake of the original from him can't be as big of a letdown as "The Girl Who Played with Fire" which had more in common with a James Bond movie than its predecessor. Haven't seen "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" though.

It's so stupid that they're calling it the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy, when it is the Millenium Trilogy.

My guess is the name was changed to not confuse people with the former American television series.

It looks like this has been delayed until Feb 22. I got an email from Amazon the other day about my pre-order.

Went to target today and picked up the DVD box set for 39.99, which to me isn't too bad (compared to BB which has it for 49.99)

^The dvd set is $34.49 at Amazon and $34.79 at Barnes & Noble (cheaper after any coupons available).

Thanks for the heads up on the BN price - I used my $20 groupon gc and AAA discount - $13.74 shipped (incl.tax). I wasn't planning on getting this - I was going to wait for the 9 hour complete series in the fall, but I can live with both of them.

Are you saying the talk of them coming to the US is not true? Or are you saying that because IMDB (The be all end all of) doesn't mention them, that means they don't exsist?
